In the composite, the Sun is the identity of the relationship. It's your purpose for being together and why you two feel the way you feel. It is not good that you have Sun opposite Venus in the composite, in my opinion. The composite is a midpoint chart, meaning it is combined energies at a middleman point in time. Having the opposition between Sun and Venus in composite means those energies of the couple's shared identity and the couple's shared love never truly meet eye-to-eye.

I thought oppositions were almost considered conjunctions in a composite?

I was of this opinion as well - especially with mercury and venus as it's a physical impossibility for them to be opposite in a regular chart.

(This is why some people prefer Davisons for some things).

Sometimes, you'll see +opp house in the aspectarium bit on astro.com which essentially makes a conjunction and opposition the same entity for the named planets.

Eg in my composites with someone, we have sun at 4AQUA and venus at 3LEO, with sun listed as +opp house as our suns are opposite in synastry.

But I may be mistaken.
