What are orbs are used for midpoints in synastry? Some say 1, some say 2? (Conjunctions only)

I think it has to be pretty close since it's midpoints. I use 1 or less, personally, but everyone is different. The few midpoint aspects I have experienced haven't been earth shattering. And I am not even sure I really feel them. The one I see the most often is the venus mars midpoint, but the one I feel like I feel most is the sun moon midpoint.

I feel like the venus mars one is more ambient, but the most likely to wake me up (so to speak) is sun moon. But I count 1 or less.
