Would an 8 or 9 degree be too wide in synastry for Venus/Mars or Sun/Moon aspects in synastry?

If they're not more than 8 degrees apart, I'd consider it to be a conjunction. Of course, sharing the sign itself is quite significant in case of these pairings. I'd use tighter orbs for the other aspects.

So if a person has Venus in Gemini and the other person has Mars in Gemini and there is a 8 or 9 degree conjunction between the two in synastry. Would the aspect still count?
