interpretations say that this is an amazing combination to have in synastry. I've never felt it to be so. I've known several men who's Sun conjuncted my Ascendant and in each case- yes they were attracted to me, but I was not attracted to them at all. In fact in all cases I found myself feeling a little uneasy with them.

Perhaps this is due to the Sun being the ruler of my 12th house (Leo). When someone's Sun goes into my 12th house it is BAD news in my experience. So maybe having the ruler of the 12th on my ascendant is what makes this aspect that so many people rave about something that I don't particularly enjoy?
