When saturn that is conjunct the ascendant also trines several planets of the other person and has no hard aspects (other than the conjunction to the asc) does it have a good influence instead of a bad one on the asc person?

Saturn conjunct ASC can play out in different ways. In love relationships I am not sure, but I have my Saturn conjunct my daughter's ASC and this is not too uncommon for parent/child relationships. I see it as me providing her structure in the development of herself. Sometimes I annoy her (and myself!) by being a little too over the top, but all in all it's more about being solid support for her whether she likes it or not.

My Saturn also sextiles her Saturn and Moon, and does not square anything or oppose anything else in her chart.
