Any 4th house synastry is good. It keeps you guys feeling comfortable around one another and that is the main key to being good roommates. 6th house synastry is also very good as it allows you both to understand and better comply with your individual and shared duties as two people sharing a home for convenience.

We have Mercury square Mercury and Mars square Mercury. But I don't think our communication is that bad. Could be because we have Sun quintile Mercury and Sun trine Mercury but the orb is 6 degrees which may be too wide. I love his voice though I think it's because I have Venus in Pisces and his Mercury is in Cancer.

It depends. Saturn in the 4th can make you both very serious about 4th house matters, which is good as Saturn (natural 10th house ruler) and the 4th house are very traditional and serious houses by nature. However, it can also can the 4th house person to feel like the Saturn is a bit of a downer or not as skilled as they are in terms of 4th house matters, which can lead to uncomfortable behavior. But it depends!

Do you mean that the Saturn person could make the 4th house person feel like they aren't skilled enough? I have this placement in my own chart. So I'm use to it but I don't really like it.

I’d say definitely positive moon to moon aspects or at least moons in the same or sextile elements. Moon on each other’s angels especially the 4th house. 4th house overlays or conjunctions/positive aspects to each other’s 4th house rulers. Basically moon, 4th house or 4th house rulers in aspect to each other somehow or in positive aspect to the rest of each other’s angles and planets.

What about a trine between 4th house rulers? And one persons Moon trine the other persons ASC?
