It has been four years of off and on, so you were right about the mars uranus. But we could never completely stay apart. I dated other men in between, he did not date at all. Every time we got back together, the depth of the relationship grew as well as our feelings. But only just recently we, for the first time ever, expressed our true feelings for each other. We are indeed very similar and share many experiences, such as having lived one street apart from each other a few years before we ever met. Yet we are very different. It is a relationship like no other for either one of us, and while we have many deep, lovely conversations, we never really talk about our feelings and emotions. We are starting to now.

He is the only person who has ever come to me in dreams, and he has done it several times. Always when we were apart, and it was always just before we met up again.

So your reading and analysis is very accurate. He is very independent, and was not interested in finding a relationship. We weren't ready to be together fully until now, and even now we are slowly learning how to be together.
