Me and my boyfriend have a loose grand fire trine in all our earth houses. Our Venus-Sun conjunction is in our 2nd house, Saturn-Moon conjunction in our 10th, and Pluto in our 6th. I have read somewhere having romantic planets (Venus and Moon) in these houses actually negate the energies and make the couple not very romantic at all.

Don't get me wrong, we are very affectionate with each other, but we don't seem very romantic. Like our idea of romance is buying stuff for each other, especially things we need, or doing stuff for each other. This is not really a deal-breaker to me, but I wonder what that would mean for the relationship long term.

Will we become stagnant and bored with each other? So far, that has not happened. It's like we are

That shouldn't be a problem. In fact, I have always read it is best to have composite planets in cardinal houses first, then fixed houses, then those mutable houses. Something to do with their dignities. The cardinal houses are strongest, then fixed, then so and so. May I ask where did you read that at? Earth houses are very good for a relationship, especially the 2nd and 10th. Venus is the actually the ruler of the 2nd so having your composite Venus there is great. Saturn ruling 10th is also good for authority and stability in your image together. Makes you seem solid like a rock, makes you more serious about keeping the peace and power at a level. I have only heard mutable houses can be a problem for composites because they show some sort of inequality and distance in the composite between the couples, but you only have Pluto there so it shoudn't be a big issue. I actually have Pluto in the 6th natally and I am big on analyzing and organizing things. I love to learn about health and nutrition too, so maybe that will be a theme in your relationship.
