How bad is it?

If a Leo with Taurus Mars paired with a Capricorn with Aqua Mars - although the Mars are square (by degree) would the Cap and Leo sun help?

It's something you'll certainly feel.

In your case sun inconjunct sun which don't see how that would negate it. Unless you mean sun to Mars.

In whichever case, I have a similar theme with someone I know. Sun inconjunct sun by sign and Mars oppose Mars by degree. Sun trine and inconjunct Mars by sign.

We also have several 'good' aspects like sun to Moon. Mars to moon. He's the moon in both cases, perhaps that's different. This Mars oppose Mars is just like a sore thumb though.

Perhaps in a romantic relationship it would be different, but I feel very aggravated around him. He certainly triggers my Mars, by his Mars no less.

I wouldn't right away run though. House placements I'd probably look at too, and if Mars makes any favorable aspects to the woman's personal planets probably.

It's not that I dislike him. It's just that I feel that whichever way I assert myself, he'll always find reason as to why I'm not correct with that or whatever. Just very frustrating. And I'm sure he feels the same. Probably.

Brendas - So you are not in a romantic/sexual relationship with this man and you find it difficult or irritating? I read that opposite mars placements could be “complementary” or even great with each other but maybe that is in a romantic relationship only? And maybe depends on which signs. I think some opposite signs work better than others.

I thought maybe since my Mars is Earth and his Sun is Earth and his Mars is Air more compatible with my Fire Sun this could help the square? His Mars opposite my Leo moon by 2 degrees. He has Aqua Venus as well loosely opposite my Leo Venus. His Moon is Libra/Scorpio cusp sextile my Sun.

I'm not in a romantic relationship with him... But yeah it's frustrating. I remember the last time we argued over Astrology lol he knows the cookie cutter version of it aka only the Sun signs I got so annoyed with him like 'dude hear me out' but he was arguing with me ugh lol. He's not stupid or narrow-minded, it's just simply frustrating. Perhaps it's just my Mars-Mercury square acting out and he was aspecting it with his Capricorn Mars... So yeah I'd look how his natal Mars is in relation to yours. And also sign matters as you said, since Capricorn is Saturn-ish based which obviously certainly felt restricting.

With the opposition of Mars, I agree it could indicate sexual attraction... However there would have to be a balance of a yin/yang I believe. So two Mars are just emitting energy outwards which causes friction. A Venus/Mars is a nice balance. 2 Venus's probably too laid back. But I'd look at the natal aspects cuz yours might be more of a feminine or passive Mars while his may be the opposite. In that case bingo.

I'll give you an example, a guy I have a Venus/Mars square with. I feel that it's the perfect balance. My debilitated Cancer Mars (aka lazy on top of a Taurus Sun especially) gets triggered or squared by his Venus. And his Venus is in Aries so his Venus might actually like this square, cuz of its' sign placement. So in this case, it certainly feels like a perfect square for me. I'd hope for him the way I assume lol but it would make sense given the dynamic of his natal Venus.

Those stuff you mentioned (didn't properly observe it) could help, but I think you should first look at his natal aspects. Like does his Mars conjunct his Venus? Automatically it's not so Martian in nature anymore. And what about yours?

Yes, that could definitely make sense when synastry aspects trigger your own natal aspect - especially with the mercury square mars/ mars combo.

His Mars loosely Trines his own moon an sextile his Neptune, making it softer I guess? My own Mars square my moon/sun conjunction. So his Mars in Aqua is completeing a T-Square squaring my Mars and opposing my Moon (which are square). My Mars is on his Chiron too.

Here is the synastry if it helps:

In composite we have Sun, Venus, & Pluto Conjunct in Scorpio...so could be intense.
