1. Is it absolutely necessary to have Venus/Mars direct aspects in synastry in order for the couple to feel physical desire? 2. Can other aspects substitute for it if Venus and Mars aren't involved and if so, what would those aspects be? 3. And can only one partner's Venus or Mars be aspected and not the other and for them to still have the chemistry/physical attraction/desire? IP: Logged |

1. No.2. Yes. Venus/Uranus, Venus/Pluto, 5H or 8H ruler. ASC can be sexually attracted. 3. Depends on aspects above and gender role. Mars and Sun in female chart; Venus and Moon in male chart. quote: Originally posted by CuriousV: 1. You don't need Venus/Mars, IME.Besides what others have listed, Mars-Uranus, Mars-Sun as well. IP: Logged |

Well, not sure if other aspects are any good... Here is our synastry. I am in Blue. I don't know his TOB but he does feel like a Cancer Rising to me. Perhaps disregard any aspects to His Angles then, not sure... IP: Logged |

His Mars conjunct your AC, sextile your North Node. Your Mars conjunct his South Node, sextile Jupiter. Not sure how powerful the harmonious aspects are to the nodes, but it's worth looking into. And to the South Node. But to Jupiter I think should be pretty significant. It'll evoke and expand on your Mars. And his Mars close to your AC, he should find you hot at least. I'd look into it being from the twelfth though, since it might not be as in his face, until it gets real. It'll probably feel otherworldly to the both of you though. But I would say it depends how you relate to your 12th house, since it might have a feeling of you not being able to connect with it, given that it's rather in a'spiritual' place. You might however feel comfortable with it given that your South Node is in Pisces. Then again your 12th house ruler is in the 11th, might have the opposite effect. But with your ruling planet being Jupiter (traditional ruler of Pisces)... Ya know. He though will probably feel attracted to this feeling, given that natally his Mars conjunct Neptune. And if his Mars is in fact in his fifth, its' ruler Pluto to your Moon should definitely do it for him. IP: Logged |

Do you mean it would aid in developing a stronger emotional bond? I thought that Uranus loved freedom and Pluto is associated with manipulation, etc... IP: Logged |

Thank you so much for your input Brenda. Read up on all the aspects you mentioned and yes indeed all of them are pretty favorable. Not sure how I feel about the SN contact though...it seems to be a past life connection and it may bring some karmic undertone with it. But Mars/ASC contact seems to be significant. If anyone is interested, here is a short explanation of this aspect. I love how she explains everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQcStgM6XSw Brenda, would you please explain to me what you mean by the 12 H point of view: "I'd look into it being from the twelfth though, since it might not be as in his face, until it gets real. Hi, sure. So basically, his Mars conjunct your AC, but it sits in your twelfth house. He's sort of 'beneath the surface' if you know what I mean. Mars rules the first. Neptune rules the twelfth. When it conjunct your AC from the first, it might feel rather Martian in nature. However, given that it's in a house that's least like Mars... The only way I can think of it is Mars being smooshed kind of like a wet painting being brushed over. The crispness is gone and has an otherworldly/abstract feel. Now the way he'll feel sitting in your twelfth house will depend how 'close' you are with it. How much you associate yourself with your subconscious. Or your subconscious style, for him I mean... Cuz that's what will be seen at his forefront. And same with your point of view. The way you'll feel about his Mars sitting there will depend how attached you are to your twelfth house nature. Like me as an example... Using the eighth house here... But Saturn rules it. And Uranus sits in it. Which gives my eighth house a rather 'cooled off' feeling. Hence, anyone's planet sitting there won't feel as deep/penetrative for me. So you have to look at your twelfth house first, separately. And his Mars, separately. Look at the signs/aspect/houses in the natals first and get a feel for what it's like. That's a better way to know how he'd feel about the nature of your twelfth house and if it resonates with his style Mars. IP: Logged |

Many different aspects create chemistry. Here's a good thread by Lotis White you can read: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/221321.html IP: Logged |
