Why is this such a hard topic to find any information on? I keep finding ASC conjunct Pluto, but very little with the DC. It's frustrating!I understand it's about power plays and dynamics, perhaps Pluto exerting control over the DSC person? Does the DSC person see Plutonic capabilities in the other that they are lacking? Has anyone experienced this in friendships or romantic situations? IP: Logged |

Hi Implosions! I have not experienced this, but I'll give my 2 cents: I see the descendant as how we get into relationships -- like the circumstances under which a relationship may occur. With Pluto sitting there, it let's me know that power is a BIG part of that. It would also depend on who else Pluto is speaking to in the chart, and the other relationship heavy hitters and their aspects (Juno, Libra, etc.) But this can play out in other ways as well. With Pluto conjunct Descendent, I can see the the following possibilities (without knowing the whole chart): -Attraction to power/power-weilding people -The need for transformation in the relationship (a life-death-rebirth cycle to be ongoing as opposed to just how you get into the relationship) -Someone who's got tax issues, or works with tax being the ideal partner -The relationship (and/or ideal partner) is one with an undeniable, uncompromised sex drive. They may not be over the top, they are just not hiding it in any way. -BDSM playing a role in the right relationship for you There are so many ways it can go. But it would really depend on what the other aspects in the chart reveal, as planets and angles rarely work alone. IP: Logged |

Bump is like 'bumping' the thread back up near the top of the forum page so it can have another chance being seen! IP: Logged |

This is a lovely, insightful answer, thank you! It is in synastry, but one of us is very Scorpio/8th House/Pluto ruled already, the other is Libra/Virgo with their North Node sitting right on their Pluto. They have a Scorpio Descendant and the it is my Scorpio Pluto that conjuncts it (as well as my Mercury). I have studied the chart in whole many times but the Pluto aspects seem to elude me. There is definitely power dynamics going on, but there has always been a very rigid kindness involved. We have mutual Saturn squares going on as well, so that could have something to do with it.
