Hi all!So i've recently done a synastry comparison between myself and my latest love interest. I have a Scorpio Sun, Moon in Gemini, scorpio Mars and Scorpio Pluto and Asc. The guy in question has a Gemini Sun and Scorpio Moon. Looking at our chart however, none of these planets conjunct one another save for his Pluto conjunct my Mars. Is there a reason why that is? Would planets being in the same sign create a sort of 'infromal' conjunction even if they're not touching each other? [I've read this could be the case in an astorlogy publication, but wasn't sure]. I have a feeling it may be the degrees at which they sit, but I wanted to get a second (or third) opinion to be safe. Any input would be extremely helpful! IP: Logged |

I'm not sure I understand the question. A zodiac sign is 30 degrees, and i personally would only count conjunctions going up to 6 degrees, at most 8 for luminaries(sun/moon). IP: Logged |

Hi @Bismarck2! Thank you for replying. To calrify, I'm curious why his sun in Gemini at 14 degrees and my Moon in Gemini at 6 degrees aren't touching. Additionally, even though his Moon is in Scorpio at 7 Degrees, it isn't touching my Scorpio sun at 29 degrees or my Mars at 25 degrees or Pluto at 20 degrees. I'm pretty new to astrology, so any info helps! Hope that clears things up a bit. IP: Logged |

Too far away. Conjunctions ought to be much closer than that. IP: Logged |

Got it. Would having planets in the same sign create an affinity even if they're far away? A sort of camaraderie/understanding? Or does it become moot because of the distance? IP: Logged |

vedic is better for this kind of question because nakshatra breaks things down differently my fiancee and i both have pisces moons in sidereal, but they aren't conjunct and in different nakshatras (uttara bhadrapada and revati) and the differences described there tend to show up you'll understand each other, but the way the sign functions wont be the same nakshatras work with any planet IP: Logged |

Hi @Dimuzi! Thanks for your input, this is helpful! I'll b honest, I'm not quite familiar with what you mentioned above--all greek to me really, lol. Can you point me in the right direction to find out more info on 'nakshatras'. I'm more versed in western astrology, but I'd love to learn more. IP: Logged |

There definitely would be a similarity, or affinity as you put it, but there would be little to any communication between the planets. Planets transmit energy, ergo they communicate with eachother. IP: Logged |
