what's the difference and how can you tell?

For example - What does sun and Venus in the 7th house feel like and how do you notice it --- vs sun conjunction Venus synastry aspect - What's the difference and how can you tell

From what I understand, house overlays aren't felt, or at least not strongly, unless the planets in the house make important aspects to your chart.

Really? I don’t think that’s true my Moon is unaspected in a synastry chart with someone. But my Moon falls in their 2nd house and I feel that overlay. With someone else my Moon is in their 8th house and I feel that as well. The only aspects my Moon makes is to their Pluto and Venus.

I think the moon is different because of how important and receptive it is in everyone's chart.
