Topic: Low sexual aspects yet long lasting couple?

Is it possible for 2 people to have a almost no sexualitg compatibilty in their synastry chart and still be a long lasting couple? Any stories concerning that?

More common in long term partners than generic textbook astrology would ever promote... Simply put, consider these couples as together spiritually, a personal connection lasts longer than mere “sexual compatibility” or physical stuff. Which then begs the question of where’s the focal point and how does each party portray that in the union: astrology synastry is more complex than matching signs. I.e. rulers of houses, planetary dispositors , etc, sensitive points like angles and vertexs. Which, warning, don’t dare come to conclusions until you have the truth in hand: birth times. Yes, you can!Especially if you have Saturn in the 8th in the Composite Chart. From my personal experience, I’ve had almost no sex with him during this long (years) relationship. We had several other positive aspects - including soulmate aspects in the synastry-davison-composite chart! If you looked at our charts you’d say that we were made for each other - but we really had almost zero sex life and definitely no sexual compatibility (meaning, we would try and feel no pleasure in doing it). :/ I was emotionally happy, because of our mental and emotional connection but physically I felt extremely neglected  IP: Logged |

You should check the natals as well, whether sex is important to this person. I think most people will go for emotional compatibility more than sexual compatibility, but if the sexual component is practically non-existent, it's unlikely to be a truly happy union, especially if sex is important to one or both parties.IP: Logged |

It depends on the person some people like sex. I couldn't do it personally I feel that sexual compatibility is important. It's nice to have an emotional connection but that doesn't make the sexual compatibility less important. I honestly don't think it'll work long term.IP: Logged |

vansio makes very good and important points.The answer is yes, but the question as posed may hold a presumption. It is not necessary for the synastry to show Venus-Mars contacts or other overtly 'sexual' aspects for there to be sexual compatibility. Attraction has a way to charging that and basic animal level desire does the rest. Physical/emotional attraction is enough. Also, many times there are extra points of compatibility in the declinations, which few astrologers bother to look at. ------------------
