I think because Saturn plays the role of the glue. It keeps everything together. So even if the couple go through bad situations, Saturn kind of pulls them back together and make them fix it (if well aspected and supported by other placements). IP: Logged |

Yeah I understand but what about couples who don't have Saturn in synastry? IP: Logged |

I guess people don’t really understand the question lol. I’m asking if it’s possible for people to stay together who don’t have Saturn aspects in synastry.IP: Logged |

I think house overlays can play a role. I personally think that 10th or 4th house overlays can be glue too or saturn aspecting composite angles.Lots of couples would not just have conjunctions but they would have squares as well because squares initiate work and relationships require work. I think it depends on someones own chart as well, and how their chart aspects the composite. So many things. But if i like someone i like them i dont look at the synastry to make that choice. I'd say it's possible but it might also be easier to let go if there aren't any. The Saturn interaspects don't tell so much about the quality of the relationship but they are more likely to be long lasting, for better or for worse. To illustrate my point, two people can have a joyful relationship without Saturn contacts but split pretty quickly once they don't feel that attracted to each other because it might be that easy to let go and split amicably, for example. Another couple with Saturn contacts might start off similarly to the first couple but it will be much harder for them to split even though they know they are not right for each other. Somehow hard Mars/Saturn interaspects seem to be prevalent in marriages or long term relationships though. While relationships without Saturn contacts might not have the longevity, the ones with those contacts always seem to be more favorable for the Saturn person. IP: Logged |

My Saturn makes an opposition to his Mars in synastry, in my natal chart I have Saturn in my 4th house. And in his natal chart he has Mars in the 7th house. My Mars falls in his 7th house and conjuncts his Mars in synastry. We also have Mercury square Saturn, his Saturn trine my MC and my Saturn squares his MC. IP: Logged |

We have a lot of squares in our synastry Moon square Moon, Moon square Sun, Moon square Mercury and Moon square Venus. I know that’s really rough I don’t know if we could actually have anything long term. But I think it helps that my Sun is in the same sign as his Moon. Also all of my 8th house planets fall in his 4th house my Sun falls in house 5th and my Mars in his 7th. Most of his planets fall in my 3rd house we do seem to have good communication. He says he feels a connection with me that seems to be important to him. He says he needs to feel a connection in order to feel sexual towards someone. He’s a Scorpio Sun, Taurus Moon and Venus in Scorpio. I think it’s his Scorpio Venus that needs that connection. I have Venus in Pisces so I can relate somewhat. But having Venus square Uranus makes me hard for me to connect.

I have Saturn square Nodes with my guy. I read up on the interpretation but can't quite relate. On cafeastrology it says "there can be a sense that you hold each other back from important life lessons". We feel quite the contrary... this r/s has caused us to reinvented our beliefs and principles. It can feel very daunting and scary but it's also very binding at the same time. IP: Logged |

My brother and his wife only has Saturn sextile Moon, square Neptune in synastry. Not sure if Saturn aspects the angles though because I don't know his wife's ToB. IP: Logged |

With this guy my Saturn and Uranus is in his 1st house. And my Saturn makes an opposition to his Mars which is in his 7th house. My Saturn also makes an inconjunction to his Moon. His Saturn squares my Mercury. We also have Mars conjunct Mars which is conjunct in his 7th house. I don't know if it makes a difference that my Saturn is in his 1st house. IP: Logged |

Saturn in 1st house opposing Mars is a strong connection. He should feel your Saturn strongly. IP: Logged |

Do you know of any married couples who have several squares in synastry? IP: Logged |

I've not seen a synastry without squares. It depends which planet is receiving the squares and how many. I saw in another thread you said you like a guy but your Moon is receiving several squares from his planets. Squares can still cause attraction but too many squares to the Moon may cause great emotional stress over time, IMO. IP: Logged |
