Can a 5-6 degree square between Mars and Pluto be felt or is it too wide?

An exact separation of 85degs and 95degs is a 72nd harmonic aspect, for which the orb-of-influence allowed by most harmonic astrologers is 10 arc minutes.

An exact separation of 84degs and 96degs is a 60th harmonic aspect, for which the orb allowed is generally 12 arc minutes.

However, neither the 60H nor the 72H would behave like a square. ... Because the 60H = planning expertise, and the 72H = competence in tackling problems.

So, if within orb of a 60H or 72H aspect, the influence may be felt - but is unlikely to be recognised by those who are expecting it to manifest as a problem.

I have this aspect in my natal chart (2 degrees) and I have had it in most of my romantic relationships as well. I personally don’t feel it. So I think it depends on the individual person’s natal chart, if they have it, it can definitely play out in their relationships but that doesn’t mean that it will be felt in a stressful, negative way.
If you are not used to this aspect though, even a 9 degree square can be felt a lot!

I agree that you'll feel it more if you're not used to it. It just won't be as strong like it would if it was exact

Astrologically ... what is the difference between aspects/influences that can and cannot be felt?

Fo r example ... if the Mars animus of person A awakens (say) person B's unconscious Pluto desire to dominate others, how might that impact upon their relationship if :-

1. Mars/A feels it, but Pluto/B does not?
2. Pluto/B feels it, but Mars/A does not?
3. Both A and B feel it?
4. Neither A nor B feel it?
