the vertex in a composite conjunct the descendant shows that you both have had very unusual/other worldly experience and feelings. different but similar in that these paranormal feelings tended to isolate you both ..that is nether of you felt anyone could understand what you experienced.but then you met and found that you could understand exactly the others strange realities.

The intensity for you has do with the overlays as mentioned but his Venus trining Pluto and the Sun in your water houses.

There’s also an overload of 8th and 5th especially with Pluto in Scorpio in the 4th with Scorpio being the ruler of the 5th. On top of that is the aforementioned Pisces in Venus in your 8th house trining your Pluto which makes this connection very deep. Oh and if that was enough he’s got his Mars in your 5th in Pluto, which makes him essentially impossible to resist.

I can't seem to pull your chart up now but there is a Jupiter/Neptune square which will be transited by the node in late January into February. this square usually shows a breakup and often is associated with deception. it is possible that he already is seeing someone else.
