The person I’m currently dating has Mars in Sagittarius and in the 7th house and it’s Conjunct Chiron and retrograde. But can someone explain what this

Here's a good article as a starting place.

I'd say that conjunction is relatively rare.

The retrograde part, I'd have to consider it a little longer, since this aspect could be a sign of temporary weakness.

I think on a double retrograde conjunction, the weakness might not be as negative.

Counter-intuitive.
