Without going into too much detail as I don't want to bore anyone, we reconnected last Summer (we were went out about 5 years ago) but decided to end things after a few months because of bad timing and he was going through personal issues which I completely understand.

He hasn't been himself at all, we basically haven't really spoken because he doesn't have the 'effort' but it's nothing personal and wants us to be on good terms so I respected his space and hoped we'd be mates again in the future when he's better.

Anyway I was ill in hospital bored, I put up a Snapchat jokingly asking for a spare Kidney and then after he watched it he blocked me????? I thought exes were supposed to come back during retrograde?

I text him respectfully asking why, first he lied then I said 'I'm glad you're polite enough to lie, I'm not offended at all just wondering as to why as I thought we were on good terms and it wasn't personal, have I done something to upset you if so I am sorry. ' He replied saying ' Don't think like that it's nothing I just need to focus on myself and sort myself out and what not'

Does anyone have any astrological ideas or personal insights as to why he is doing this? I don't mind that he's doing it but what I do mind is being left in the dark, I'm so confused and It's hurting me to be honest because It does feel personal.

I wouldn't even take this personally. Maybe you have a big and disruptive effect on his emotional life that even a little joke/quip has devastating emotional effects on him. Or maybe it just disturbs his spirit in a way he doesn't like. Saturn opp Moon shows this could be a time when he's going inward. I think this just more about him then it is about you.

Mercury Rx can play with our minds and disrupt communication. One common thing in relationship is that it can cause breakups or couples to patch back. It may be things that have been bothering us and we action on it during a Mercury Rx.

Examples:
My friend broke off with her bf when Mercury turned Rx in November 2019. It wasn't a sudden decision...there were already issues and he was distancing himself. But after Mercury turned direct, he suddenly text her again wanting a reconciliation.

On the other hand, my guy and I patched back during a Mercury Rx.

Of course this doesn't happen to everyone, if not we will be breaking up/patching back 2-3x a year! There must already be something brewing. You sound like you know what has been bothering him... so is he just whimsically blocking you? I remember repeatedly deleting my guy in the past because I felt so sad looking at his name and reading his messages.

It would have obviously been more mature to tell you before hand but people are wierd and when they're struggling even more so.

Every single break up I've had has happened during or right before a MR. Also every single reconnect where we got back together.

I don't know what happened between you but sometimes people need to cut off to move on emotionally. This is not to say they won't reconnect. Some do... after they have managed to put whatever past behind them.

Sometimes it's permanent, sometimes it's not. I've always found it best to try my best to accept thats its over and allow destiny to do the rest...easier said than done.

That's because you're not just anyone to him! 😀 We're usually natural and "normal" with people who don't really matter to us, but towards those who do, we tend to behave in illogical ways.
