What we have here is a brief, awkward, useful but ultimately failed attempt to communicate. I, J, intended to locate mutual interests and build a (romantic and/or other) link to K, a more reserved neighbor from a different subculture and of conspicuous age difference. Clearly this chart wants to tell me something loudly, whereas actual events really didn't seem like any great big life-changing twist of fate, at least from my end.

Questions:

0. What happened here? What is the message? The impression I get from the Sun-Moon sesquisquare is a spotlight on the importance of "when in Rome" and (contrary to the semisquare's inflexibility) bending to conform to the prevailing "social reality" when putting oneself into the world, which is plausible and comports with events and the nati. I see natal conjunctions at 10Sag and 22Tau being activated: Mars breaks Neptune's brain and makes her tongue sharp; Saturn denies me the wife and her the good Fortune. Saturn and Lilith on the AC illustrate the romantic rejection so I can assume the chart is good.

1. Vertex on the comp DC: I read this as a significator of major import in this relationship, or of unexpected late connection. Is 1°14' too wide for such a reading? If not, how and where does that play out, and maybe even how to predict when? Or has it already, have I done goofed, and now ruined and rejected a carefully knit square of destiny? We had first exchanged names months ago when she was moving in but never really chanced across one another in passing very much. She's told me to stop contacting her as of 5:30pm ET Saturday, as I duly have.

2. It turns out that my natal points are surprisingly active in her current Venus Return too. Particularly, my natal AC exactly conjunct her VR 5H cusp (with VR Jupiter in the same degree), my Mars exact on her VR BML, my Saturn exact on her VR NN, a bunch of close relationship asteroid conjunctions too. And my own VR chart, which I couldn't ask to be much more benefic, has her Sun in the degree of its AC. Great, did I just ruin her and/or my love year? I hope not, I've been wandering the romantic wilderness working off bad relationship karma for too long already!

3. Are there signs this was "supposed to" have been more than it was, or "offered" by the universe in hopes I would make better use of it?
