Hello! I am trying to learn about Chiron in synastry but am having trouble finding info online with regards to a few specific questions I have. I am hoping some of you may have some experience with this and can share your knowledge. In general, should a person avoid someone whose Chiron is in their 7th house? Is their Chiron in your 8th better/worse? If your natal Chiron is in the 7th, does this make a difference to whether you would want their Chiron in your 7th or 8th? Thank you so much, in advance, for your kind responses! IP: Logged |

The sign determines the nature of the Chiron wound, and the house indicates where it will (mostly) manifest. ... For example, my Chiron in Scorpio makes me instinctively/habitually distrust the motives of others - and its 3rd house location results in a fear that my communications will be (intentionally) "twisted"/distrorted by those others. Thus ... if my Chiron falls in another person's (Scorpio) 7th house ... it will "see" how that person is being manipulated by his/her intimate others ... and attempt to make him/her aware of it. Perhaps a good thing, if my perception is correct ... But, definitely a bad thing if my perception is incorrect. {And bear in mind here that a very wise employer of mine once told me that I "see what others do not" - but did not state whether that was because I "see things which are not actually there".) So ... where would you prefer my Chiron to fall in your natal chart? IP: Logged |

In Chiron - Healing Body & Soul, Martin Lass describes the Gemini Chiron Wound as " (1) a deep-seated feeling of being ... unable to communicate with others, verbally inept, unable to fit in socially, unintelligent and/or unable to see the connections between one thing and the next. (2) The hidden feeling of being uneducated or stupid compared to others. (3) The feeling of not being 'up with the times'. " And he writes that, in the 8th house, the roundedness "is played out primarily in the area of spiritual matters, death, dying, loss, power, sexuality, money or joint finances and/or mortality/immortality."

Interesting. If your Chiron was in my 7th house, I would assume that your propensity to distrust the motives of others would cause you be distrustful of me if we were in a relationship. Would you think that was a reasonable interpretation? Also, what is your experience/opinion with regards to people who are around the same age and therefore have the same Chiron sign? This often makes them have conjunct Chirons in synastry charts. I've read conflicting things about whether this is bad, or if it is energy that is more easily dealt with because it is what a person already deals with in their natal chart. My own opinion is that it likely depends on the person. If their Chiron is well aspected and/or they are handling the Chironian energy well, then someone else with a synastry Chiron conjunction will be fine. On the other hand, if someone is really struggling with their Chiron, then someone else with more of the same energy may not be the best match.

My natal Chiron in Scorpio/3rd (instinctively/habitually) trusts no-one ... So, you would be correct in assuming that I would be distrustful of you if we were in a relationship. However, that assumption would be wrong if my Scorpio Chiron was manifesting as (say) a fear of death. ... So, you would first need to identify the wound that Chiron has inflicted upon your 7th house partner - then consider how would affect his/her interaction with you. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

My school-year peers fell into two groups ... those born with Scorpio Chiron, and those born with Sagittarius Chiron. I was Scorpio Chiron - and (from age 5 to 16) had a close bond with a Sagittarius Chiron. He was better at everything than most others, and was clearly destined to do well academically - until, at the age of 12, illness made him unable to attend school for over a year. So, his Sagittarius Chiron wound was one of "having the air taken out of the balloon of idealism, vision and optimism" - and, after leaving school with no certificates/qualifications required to enter a white collar profession, he could have spent the rest of his life "cursing God" for condemning him to an adult lifetime of hard labour (and insufficient mental stimulation). ... Instead, he learned a trade; set up his own company and has "lived long and prospered". So, I see the Chiron wound as an asset rather than a liability, for those who understand why "that which does not kill us makes us stronger". IP: Logged | |
