I'm seeing a trend among people I know who falls into my 9th house.

Person 1, Sun/Venus/Jupiter (conjunction)

Person 2, Moon

Person 3, Moon

I feel they can be good friends, but I feel they drain my energy or there are red flags. It feels more like a therapist/patient relationship over time and I am the therapist. Believe it or not, they are all Aquarius placements. One of them tried to take advantage of me.
I notice when I try to minimize my interaction with them, they become angry. They treat me like I owe them - where is this anger coming from?

The ones falling into my 8th Aquarius, we don't have this dynamic and I feel I trust them more.

I've found a lot of 9th house overlays (and consequent 3rd house as well being affected) can have a bit of a sibling-cousin style energy between parties. This isn't always an issue if people grew up with siblings, but usually I see 9th house synastry when it comes to a learning experience- you learn what it's like to have a 'missing' family member, at times. And if not familial, then communal in some way.

3rd-9th axis is usually about a sibling style relationship. Which has a LOT to do with learning boundaries between self and other- Gemini being the 'but you're my twin, where are you going' and Sagittarius being the 'I'm gonna need my space here, and your space there' kind of energy.

I've seen strong reactions to cropping up boundaries from 9th house overlays too, but only if someone hasn't yet experienced that kind of thing before. If they HAVE, then this can be a wonderfully expansive overlay to have! But it takes a lot of awareness of self and other, not enmeshment of the mind.
