This relationship has affected me like no other relationship I have ever been in before. So much passion, emotion, and unfortunately, hurt feelings on both sides. What I want to know is whether the love is stronger on one side or are we drawn to each other equally? We bonded instantly but I feel like there has been a lot of push-pull between us. It is driving me insane...

She is on the outside and I am on the inside:

Synastry

Composite

I am no expert in one-sidedness or whatever but I AM an expert in tracing special connections at a glance. We usually find that in both Moon phases.
And here we see that ...

An EXACT same phase angle of both Moon phases.

Or to translate it like this:
The red Moon is 7 deg past the Waxing sextile.
The blue Moon is 7 deg past the Waxing sextile.

or like this:

The midpoint between A's Sun and B's Moon is the exact same as the midpoint between A's Moon and B's Sun. Also then: the distance between both Suns and both Moons is the same.

Energies are much alike, very similar..

If anyone interested in the above* and more special alignments... http://www.astrosoftware.com/Symmetries.htm

*above = called "mixed midpoint alignment" (on that site)

Thanks for the response, Mir. I checked out the link you provided, and it was very interesting. The aspect you pointed out seems significant and it's true that we do have similar energies. - I think that's what attracted us to each other. We're both introverted, serious, quiet, and have a similar sense of humor. I feel very comfortable with her.

love to hear that ^

Yes it is very special and when having an eye for those 3 symmetries it's mindblowing how often you see those SUN-MOON alignments in significant relationships or with special connections. Ofcourse you can have them between any pair of planets but it's the Sun and the Moon which lay the foundation for this specialness. Ofcourse the BIG LIGHTS!

Unfort. I am about the only one (on this board at the least) who became obsessed with those symmetries years ago .. so it's a lonely ride

When you are years into this you also get an eye for other interesting phase resonances, not described in the 3 symmetries.

For example both your Venus-Mars interaspects are an exact quincunx and an exact semi-sextile (result in composite sextile) and as I consider both aspects (the quincunx and the semi-sextile) as one part of the same coin .... it must be telling. And that's what I see confirmed in your original post.

For future potential (another obsession) I look at progressed synastry but that's an entirely different story or well.. it doesn't have to be THAT different if you don't differ that much in age

That's fascinating, Mir! I love learning new things, especially when it comes to synastry. Thanks for imparting your knowledge regarding symmetries.

I didn't even notice the EXACT Venus/Mars quincunx and semi-sextile. I think I just ignored Venus/Mars aspects between our charts because they weren't the traditional kind (trine, sextile, square, opposition), so thanks for pointing it out. I read a bit about these aspects and it makes sense, actually.

Progressed synastry is interesting to me and I tried to analyze our progressed chart at one point. There is a 10-year age difference between us, by the way.

luv it

You know what.. it might be a nice idea to share the additional tables of both your progressed/natal charts here? Then we can analyse it and also see whether some interesting phase resonances occur, ofcourse next to progressed Westran biggies ...

If you choose "progressed composite chart" on astro.com and then click on "additional tables" you get 3 tables I would like to see (not the aspect grid). Up for that?

BTW if you want your progressed synastry at a glance you can also look at this (no research is done with the declinations but it might give a clue):
http://astrowin.org/scripts/prog_synastry_chart.php

@ but it leaves out the symmetries and more refined timings if only using this. Your choice

Here is the progressed composite chart and additional tables. Thanks for all your help, Mir!

I checked the link you sent. It was confusing at first, but I think I figured it out. Thanks for sharing!

Does anyone have any insight regarding whether this might be an unrequited love situation? Any feedback is very much appreciated.

How did the two of you meet?

I’m asking because you both are heavy in vertex

Hi Willabuttler234,

We met at work. We worked together for a year-and-a half and never interacted much, and then one day she approached me and gave me a compliment and things progressed from there.

Someone more experienced may be able to add greater detail but a few things I noticed:

1. Compare the composite to the natal and see how each person responds to the relationship.

Both of you have personal planets making hard aspects to the Venus and Moon of the relationship. You would have to pull up the degree but it looks like her Venus, Sun and Saturn conjuct the relationships sun. Her moon also makes contact with the moon of the relationship. Your Venus and Mars make contact with the Sun/Mercury.

2. Her sun falls in your Sun/Moon midpoint. Your moon falls in her Sun/Moon midpoint. These are deep love aspects.

3. Your synastry is heavy vertex. Heavy vertex relationships can indicate a fated, karmic meeting where you were meant to meet to help each other grow. These relationships dont always last but they do lead to feelings where you might not know how to let go.

4. You do have Uranus/Venus opp in Composite. This can cause deep love but Uranus is fickle. Uranus usually burns out and you need other aspects to keep you together

Love was felt on both ends

Willabuttler234, this is very helpful, thank you. We're not on speaking terms at the moment, but I still feel like there's unfinished business between us. Although perhaps it wasn't meant to last based on the the vertex influence...?

Regarding the Sun/Moon midpoint, I think my Sun conjuncts her Sun/Moon midpoint, but her Sun does not conjunct my Sun/Moon midpoint. Her Sun is Taurus and and my Sun/Moon midpoint is in Cancer. I imagine the double whammy would have a much stronger influence in this case, but I'll take what I can get.

I really hope the love is felt on both ends - and I really feel like it is most of the time - but sometimes I have my doubts.

BoomerangVenus, I don't know how long you 2 know each other .. but the current progressed composite Moon phase (square) here points to a new direction in life. Relationships often start under this one.
It's interesting to see a Venus-Mars square occur at about the same time in this compo and this even around the same degrees currently..

A clear eye catcher, attractor and force to relate to one another we find in the prog declinations: your pVenus parallel the other persons' pSun and pMars. So as long as this one is effective it might be hard to seperate in one way or another.

The other person's pMoon is heading towards a conjunction with your natal Sun which won't take long for it to be exact. This can mean 2 things: a start or a separation of any kind. I'm curious what will become of that.. ofcourse its effectiveness slowly becomes palpable now..
