The bond looks very passionate, the familiarity and the intimacy was probably felt very intensely, this is shown by different aspects in synastry, the ASC/DSC axis conjunction with Sun/Mars opposite Venus/North Node, this gives chemestry and long terms expectations, and your Saturn/Juno conjunct his Chiron is square to this, looking like an unbreakable bond affecting you also at unconscious level, but also bringing a toxic trait. He might have strongly challenged your self-assertiveness and direction in life. He doesnt look very stable in relationship matters cause his saturn is in Libra and square to his nodes, along his Venus square Uranus, his Saturn is conjunct to your Venus so despite his independent trait, he was committed to you, but the nodal square give a strong sense of uncertainties, with Pluto/Mercury conjunct Moon square to Neptune, feelings were very intense and exclusive, but this contains also a strong trust issue. I think your Neptune on his IC gives you an initial strong idealization of him as being "the one", a very familiar figure you could have trusted, but this is square to the Venus/ASC-NN conjunction... the Venus/ASC-NN conjunction is again a very ideal trait for romance and committment, but with the square to Neptune all sorts of uncertainities and big questions for the future might arise, and this can be an issue for you cause with your ASC/North Node you might particularly need to find stability and certainies for the future. So this aspect is very binding and confusing at the same time.
In Composite, Sun opposite Venus on the ASC/DSC reflects the same dynamic, it looks like a strong long term aspect, a "true love" aspect, so this is a core feeling that will always be there between you two, these are probably the best good memories you have of the relationship which are unforgettable, with Mercury trine Uranus/Jupiter and sextile Amor... Also, there is a psychic connection that you will always have with this person.
With Moon/Saturn in second house it seems that something quite stable was expected like "promised", maybe you had even built that stability or were in the process to, but with Jupiter/Uranus square against this, it all might have sadly collapsed for some reason. With Jupiter/Uranus/South Node in the 5th house, it all might have been quite exciting for a while, but maybe you both or one of you (I suspect more about him) wasnt ready to commit in such a powerful establishment given by Moon/Saturn in 2nd house.

Your synastry aspects are extremely binding, so the letting go looks quite hard...
Also, your Sun is conjunct South Node AND DSC, Lilith involved (!)... this is a trait that might make letting go and detachment from a relationship like this quite slow, cause Lilith gives a lot of attachment to your past. On the other side, North Node conjunct ASC and square to neptune suggests a karmic path toward your "true self" and self-assertiveness, and this is especially important with Chiron in 1st house Aries, so learning to let go is painful for you but through which on the other side you seem to gain stability in your life direction, so that you gain much more self-confidence in future relationship matters.
