There’s a lot of debate about these aspects. They have an influence in synastry and natal charts. The effect is not weaker than a conjunction but they are aspects that play out on a day to day basis. They do not get people together like normal squares oppositions and conjunctions do. There must be something else in the synastry that gets people together and then the declination will play out on a day by day basis.

What confuses a lot of people is that it’s more common to have a declination than a conjunction. That doesn’t mean these aspects don’t have influence. They do but you feel them when you actually get into a relationship not on the surface like you might for a longitudinal conjunction/opposition.

The declinations are just as strong but are only felt once you’re are in the relationship living day by day.

I have 15 parallels, zero contra parallels. Wow, I am overwhelmed lol

Sun parallel Mercury/Venus/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune

Moon parallel Venus/Saturn/Neptune

Mercury parallel Uranus

Venus parallel Saturn/Uranus/Neptune

Saturn parallel Neptune

ASC parallel Mars

Node parallel Pluto

This IS intense

My Sun is parallel my guy's Venus and I resonate with the descriptions of the conjunction. He always makes me feel that I'm beautiful in and out.

Thank you so much for posting this. I always wonder if you actually need to have an aspect between the planets for the parallels and Contraparallels to be irrelevant.

In the synastry with the guy I'm really into right now we have several declination's. We aren't officially in a relationship. But right now I feel the Saturn parallel Ascendant aspect the most. I think the reason why I'm really feeling this one is because my Saturn is in their 1st house and in the same sign as their Ascendant. We also have Moon parallel Saturn, Moon contraparallel Saturn, Moon parallel Ascendant, Moon parallel Mars, Venus parallel Pluto, Mars parallel Mars, Moon parallel Neptune, Mercury parallel MC, MC parallel Jupiter. There are a few others but those are the most important.

I think they can be felt like the other aspects from my experience
My bf pluto contraparallel my venus
And his saturn contra parallel my moon
My saturn parallel his asc
And the interpretation seems to fit
But I have read that they act less powrful
Than conjunctions and oppositions
