I find theres a lot of misconceptions of Neptune in Synastry. Neptune can be karmic. When you have alot of hard contacts in synastry/composite from Saturn its usually a heavy karmic lesson. Neptune will usually show up in these circumstances to alleviate the tension that can be caused by Saturn because its necessary. You wouldn't stay with a person who just had heavy saturn contacts with you.

Neptune can be magical, its a higher octave of Venus. The only issue is making sure you can see your relationship clearly. Neptune will make you feel like youre on cloud 9 and thats necessary for relationships in the long term.

Neptune is usually the one who feels it the most when it hits a planet. (angles are a different story). Neptune is enchanted by the planet person because it craves to embody the planets energy and merge with the planet. Neptune's energy gets projected on the planet. The planet person may feel some of this but its usually Neptune who feels it the most.

People with heavy Neptune in their natals usually learn to deal with these energies better than most people. Neptune in the natal is heavy and it forces you to work on yourself more than most other planets energies. These people become pros at handling Neptune energy, when it comes to synastry they aren't hit with Neptune like people without Neptune heavy natals are. They usually dont feel the same affects that others do when it comes to this planet.

Those without heavy Neptune in their natals are usually swept off their feet by the energy. Neptune is not bad energy, it just requires you to be level headed while you embrace the energy. Those with Neptune in their natals will tell you how good the highs feel.

I was waiting for this post, and this is so accurated with a case of a couple I was checking before, they have really heavy aspects with Saturn , from him to her personal planets but his Neptune is also squaring her Moon and Venus, they haven’t been through cheating or lies, or anything like that, but that aspects def soft the heavy aspects they have in synastry, also there are just easy aspects with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in composite. I find hard to believe when people just talk about Neptune like a really “bad thing”. You know, of course, you have to make clear all about the relationship and try to have more earthy plans, also the process, the maturity and the consciousness of each person is so IMPORTANT to make any relationship work. It’s so different a relationship that is based on consciousness to one that isn’t and I’m sure many people just don’t really see that and blame the aspects.
One more thing to explain the Neptunian vibe: “When you forget that you are part of the sea, you are dizzy all the time, when you remember it, you are home” Tara Brach

People forget astrology is energy. You choose how to express this energy with conscious decisions. Even Neptune squares in a composite don’t mean anything horrible.

People want to blame the aspects instead of their own decisions. Are you deceiving or projecting onto your partner? If not there’s no reason at all the fear the aspects

People love to hate on Neptune contacts because people as a whole don’t like to take accountability. In a healthy relationship you communicate and know where you stand with your partner. There’s no lies or deceit regardless of aspects.

People don’t get honest with their partners and blame the Neptune contacts. Neptune can be magic.

Neptune squares are commonly found in the composites of family relationships. It’s why you can stand to be around them your whole life because there’s usually hard Saturn in the composite as well.

I lean to agreeing with you. There is someone that I have met that I am more attracted to than anyone I've ever met before. When I met her, I wanted to completely merge my Soul, mind, heart, and body with her. I can see Neptune playing a part in that.

There is some strong Neptune stuff going on: Neptune co-rules her 7th, Saturn, and Venus and is in her 5th House (in Cap). Her Neptune is conjunct my Cap Sun, which is my chart ruler. Her Neptune is also closely trine my Saturn which is the traditional/faster moving ruler of my Sun, Mercury, Venus, and 7th. It's also very closely sextile my Uranus which rules my Venus and 7th.

My Neptune co-rules my 8th and is in my 5th. It's conjunct her Jupiter, which co-rules her 7th, rules her 4th, and her Jupiter and my Neptune is in her 4th. It's also trine her Sun, and closely square her Pisces Venus Saturn (ruler of her 5th) conjunction.

Neptune is not the only thing going on, but I do think it indicates the strongly mystical, spiritual, merging, psychic/telepathic side of it. There is a lot else going on--pretty much every center/chakra and level is connected between us as borne out by the Synastry. Everything from double Venus-Mars oppositions, her Sun being opposite Sign of my Moon, ruler of my 5th and 8th (Jupiter) being almost exactly conjunct her Asc, the ruler of her Sun, 8th, and co-ruler of her Moon--Mars being almost exactly conjunct my Asc, my South Node being the same Sign as her 7th/Venus/Saturn, her Moon conjunct my Uranus and in my 4th, etc.

In my own experience, in synastry it has been the planet person and not the neptune person who was swept off their feet. My sun, mercury, and venus conjuncted the neptune of a man I am still enthralled with and can't get out of my mind.Initially not at all my type, I ended up feeling a very otherwordly connection to. I think the attraction also took him by surprise (not his usual type either), but in no way did he seem to ever feel the same kind of connection. With my exboyfriend from university the roles were reversed. My neptune contacted every single one of his planets and conjucnted his ascendant (i.e. opposite his decendant) and he completely idealised me from the start, feeling a very unconditional love for me. I felt nothing of the sort. I liked him as a human beig, but not really attracted and doubt I ever loved him unfortunately.

I've never been sure who feels what with neptune, so it's interesting that contrary to my own experience, others felt it's actually neptune that is more affected.

If people have Neptune conjunct their personal planets in their natal charts (and they’ve worked through it) they’ll never feel it in synastry regardless if they’re the planet or Neptune person. Neptune in the natal is heavy and it forces you to do some work. People without Neptune in their natal are usually swept off their feet regardless if they’re the planet or Neptune person

If hard contacts show up in the composite both people will likely feel it

It seems that I need Neptune to feel in love. I've Neptune conjunct DSC and hard aspects my Venus/Mars/Moon... how can I escape it? And with my Moon/DSC in Sagittarius, a lot of people in my generation has their Neptune conjunct them. All 3 of my boyfriends have strong Neptune in their natal.

With my current guy, Our Neptunes are conjunct each other's ASC-DSC axis with our Moon-Venus-Mars all connected. It feels extremely romantic and inescapable. That's the energy we're both attracted to.

It felt too dreamy, too idealistic, like we met our perfect mate... and of course there's no such thing as perfection. It's been more than 2yrs and we only got more romantic with each other, more gentle, loving etc. It definitely helps with the hard Saturn aspects in our synastry.
