Do you want "help to read this davison chart" (as stated in the topic)?

Or do you want an interpretation of the chart (as implied) in your opening post)?

[Since Davison charts are natal charts (but of a relationship, rather than a person) ... they are read in exactly the same way as any other natal chart. Hence, the over-arching "purpose" of the relationship is "to make the Sun shine".

So, what would make this Sun in Libra/7th shine/"feel fulfilled"? ... And what astrological indicators in the chart are likely to help or hinder the achievement of that?

Bear in mind that (since it is a relationship chart) were are two people working together on the same "lessons". rather than a single individual. ... So your interpretation would refer to this couple/these two people/this relationship rather than "this person".

And the best way to understand what is going on in any chart is to (first) attempt an interpretation of it yourself ... then seek comments from others on that interpretation.

It's like learning to drive a car ... reading (and receiving instruction from others) about the theory is no substitute for learning from your own mistakes - and every other driver on the road has made those same mistakes himself/herself (both during AND after biting the practice bullet).

i just look at it like any other natal chart? ok that makes sense maybe then i just need help applying that to our relationship.im still new to astrology so i can get kind of confused on how the word/form the meaning of said aspects/housing/etc towards a relationship as a whole instead of individually.

as you asked i believe with your help, an interpretation would be very much useful and helpful for me to understand this further! if you could do that i would really much appreciate that!! thank you

Never pass up an opportunity to learn a new skill, astrobabes.

Why not first put up your interpretation of this chart as if it was that of a person rather than a relationship ... and I'll then comment on your interpretation, and attempt to express our joint conclusions in relationship terms?

So ... if this was the chart of a person ... how would this Sun shine - and what helps or hinders it from doing so?

okay! with my understanding, it seems that this relationship will be out in the open/public kind of. other ppl might be involved in some form? it might be a significant relationship for both parties and one negative aspect could be one or both of us depending on the realtionship for some sort of satisifcation? also since its in libra, with a cardinal sign it can show lack of commitment and in the realtionship we might people please a lot and hmm looking at the trines to neptune and uranus could this mean a lot of idealization?

So ... first time out in the davison car, and driving it appears to come naturally/easily to you - since this is a good overview of what is going on in this chart.

Sun in harmony-seeking Libra/7th is in its sign of fall, but is well-aspected by transformational Pluto in mind-expanding Sagittarius/9th and truth-seeking Neptune in socially-orientated Aquarius/11th. So, the signs of all 3 planets are reinforced by being in the houses which are astrologically associated with them - and "balance" is what will make this Sun "shine"/function effectively. ... However, because the Sun is in the sign and house of its fall, its habitual/instinctive behaviour is more likely to be "unbalanced" in some way. So, the ultimate purpose of this relationship is for the two people to help each other to correct that imbalance.

Moreover ... since Libra-Aries axis issues are almost invariably about assertiveness (in some way) AND you have yourself raised the issue of "people pleasing" ... my guess is that the imbalance revolves around neither of the two people being able to say "no" to the (spoken or unspoken) demands/expectations of others.

22 degrees is critical only for fixed signs, so does not apply to mutable Gemini. ... http://cafeastrology.com/criticaldegrees.html
______________________________

Feminine/inner-strength planet Moon is handicapped in the masculine/outer-strength sign of Gemini, but functions most naturally/strongly in the 4th house. ... So, this couple need to communicate assertively (Gemini) but are not naturally equipped/inclined to do so (Moon) - and that issue is the foundation stone of this relationship (4th house) ... Hence, Moon in Gemini/4th is an astrological indicator which supports/confirms our earlier conclusion about what will make the Sun shine in this relationship.

So ... do you think the Moon's "soft" aspects to Mercury and Venus will be helpful, or problematic?

And ... how would you interpret the Sun-Moon-Mars triangle? **

[ ** Sun-Moon are connected via a 24th harmonic aspect (of 105degs) : Sun-Mars via a quintile (of 72degs) and Moon-Mars via an opposition.

24th harmonic = "pleasure in persisting" with something : quintile = "intellectual/mental ability to identify patterns" in something : opposition = "striving/working towards" something. ]

oh okay good to know! i didnt know that and wow!!! what you just said about the moon could not be anymore TRUE. thats basically the main issue is communication.

and hmm the soft aspects towards moon/venus... i can interpret possibly problematic because when we do communicate id say it isn’t necessarily ever about what needs to be discussed. like we skip over and ignore what we should talk about and just act like everything is okay. (could that be a libra quality as well?) with it being soft aspects too could it mean either one of us could be affected emotionally by the words/love in this relationship? if it was positive, could it mean if we did actually try communicating, we would be able to understand one another well, but we would just have to try?

with the sun moon mars triangle is really intriguing to me because it sounds like we have the capability of growing and working together in this relationship (whether if its romantic or not) since each planet is some what working towards each other. sun is with identity of relationship and moon with feelings so that could mean if we take away our ego/pride we could possibly be able to communicate better? taking that away since the 24th harmonic means it likes to work together.. hmm and the moon/mars that just seems like a lot of intense passion/emotion?

i dont know i hope i made some sense with this! lol i really appreciate your time and energy with helping me with this!!

Yes. ... The Mercury trine and Venus sextile make it easier for the Moon to avoid using the directness/assertiveness of Gemini. ... So, that triangle hinders rather than helps this davison sun to shine.

Mars is in outgoing Sagittarius and 10th house (of impressing ourself upon others) ... opposing a Moon that is learning to communicate assertively with others. ... So, these two are striving to find the "balance" required to make this davison sun shine. ... Mars is the slowest moving of the three planets here, so it is teaching/"shaping" the other two - and it's Sagittarius/10th house message is "if done correctly/ASSERTIVELY, no-one will be upset/offended when relationship issues are confronted (rather than ignored/glossed-over)."

[ * This applies to all types of relationships, but this davison relationship is a mechanism for the two people to (initially/safely) develop their assertiveness by interacting with each other.]

ah yes that makes sense then about the triangle. i can see that play out in our relationship and oh wow okay thats interesting then. if one of us just tried talking assertively we would able to get our point across?
are there any aspects/housing of this chart that indicate the outcome of our relationship? or what will be the reason why we go separate ways or move apart?

Yes. ... And the other would also start talking assertively (within the relationship) ... Then, both would start talking assertively (outside the relationship).

I suspect that would be better explored using the individual natal charts, and/or the Marks Chart*.

[ * "The Davison chart is made from by taking the midpoints of the birth dates, birth times, and birthplaces of the two people involved in the relationship. It shows what happens to the relationship as a whole.

The Marks Chart is made by taking the midpoints of the Davison chart with the horoscope of each person. Marks charts show what happens to each separate individual in the relationship.

To do a complete relationship reading, you have do the following:

(1) Look at the between the two horoscopes. This tells you something (but not everything) about potential strong and weak points in the relationship.

(2) Check the Davison chart. This shows what the relationship itself (as an individual entity) will tend to be like.

(3) Compare the aspects of both person’s horoscopes with the Davison chart (more synastry). This can indicate more strong and weak points between the two people.

(4) Check the Marks charts to see how the relationship affects each person.

(5) Put it all together and get the complete picture."
