Has anyone ever experienced this in synastry?

Think of synastry aspects as adding the natal planets of person A to the natal chart of person B.

So here, the Moon person is being inflicted with a new Chiron wound and (as with all oppositions) the Chiron person is being given an opportunity to see what happens when he/she runs away from his/her Chiron wound.

However ... without knowing the specific signs and houses involved, we cannot determine what those wounds might be.

Do you mean which houses these planets are located in the natal charts? Or in the synastry overlay?

In the synastry overlay. ... So blue Moon-in-Aquarius opposite red Chiron-in-Leo.

Leo Chiron causes us to [b}FEEL[/b] inadequate when expressing ourselves or/and our creativity. ... So, the Chiron person will not appreciate the Aquarius qualities of the Moon person whilst the latter will be painfully aware of the Chiron person's Leo qualities.

That will manifest in the Moon person's 6th house (of everyday life/activities) and the Chiron person's 8th house (of other people's values).

Is there anyway to work through this?

It's really just a question of the Moon person recognising that feelings are subjective and facts are objective. Hence, objectivity is the key to overcoming feelings which are not based on the truth.

So ... if (say) person A projects their shadow-self issues onto person B, all the latter needs to do is to reflect mindfully, honestly and objectively upon whether or not the accusations are valid. Then, if they are valid, decide whether or not to change ... And, if they are not valid, ignore them.

[In reality, Chiron wounds drive us to become exceptionally skilled in the the area that we feel inadequate ... simply because we cannot bear the emotional pain of feeling inadequate.]
