I have looked at over 200 synastry charts of long-term relationships and celeb marriages where there was love between two people and I have noticed that majority of couples have Venus-Venus (conjunction/trine/sextile/opposition/square). I don't let astrology impact my love life but seeing that most couples have compatible Venus signs or Venuses in the same modality has been really bothering me. My boyfriend has Venus in Leo 4° and I have Venus in Virgo 13°

In terms of compatibility and love/affection, do you think Venus-Venus aspects are important? Would you consider other aspects to be way more significant in a relationship? IMO, I don't think it's a crucial factor in marriages and love unions.

Upon my “research” there were some couples with no Venus-Venus contact (no elements/modes in common), but there were in fact a very significant number of long-lasting couples with Venus trine Venus., Venus opposite Venus, Venus conjunct Venus, Venus sextile Venus, Venus square Venus. Orb size didn’t seem to matter at all. Personally, I have never really found Venus compatibility to be significant.

I don’t believe Venus-Venus aspects speak in terms of compatibility by itself, but I’m just surprised by how common this contact is in successful marriages and/or significant relationships. It just seems like any couple with Venus/Venus (conjunction/trine/sextile/opposition/square), seems more common than Venus-Venus (semi-square/semi-sextile/quincunx/sesquiquadrate). I’ll admit, I think I am overlooking into this WAY too much. I just feel like we are DOOMED because me and my bf have Venus semi-sextile Venus.

What are your thoughts on Venus-Venus compatibility? Do you think it’s crucial to have Venus signs in the same element or modality? Have you seen many happy, long-lasting relationships with Venus-Venus (semi-square/semi-sextile/quincunx/sesquiquadrate)?
Obviously, there are aspects that are way more important than Venus-Venus regarding love and compatibility between two people, but I have noticed how common it is for couples to have this elemental/modality compatibility.

I was pondering about this subject too. I have Venus in Cancer and the person I am interested in has Venus in Capricorn. I was wondering if we are too different and it is good too know that Venus-Venus aspects is seen most marriage charts.

You have Venus novile Venus in synastry and that is good!

Leo 5 to Virgo 14 is indeed a novile aspect ... so, a very compatible synastry connection.

In essence, natal Venus is about values. So, in synastry, it is about shared values. ... And the absence of shared values will invariably create "personality-clashes" in a relationship, but are unlikely to result in it breaking down.

Think of it as two intimate friends who each support a different political party. ... The disagreements might be frequent and emotionally charged, but the subsequent making-up determines how long the couple will stick-together.

I love having my Venus compatible with the other persons. Or even in an easy aspect because we both enjoy the same things. We like the same food, music, movies, the same outings etc. So it’s easy to be around that person because you like and value the same things.

I have Venus trine Venus with my love of 5 months. But it is a wide orb of nearly 9 degrees. Her Venus Aries 12°36 trines my Venus Sag 21°11.

Like anything else it depends on other connections made as well as house.

We also have Venus trine Uranus with 0 degree orb.

When I read about Venus square Mars, however, much of it does not seem to resonate with us. There is a huge attraction, though much of the negative I read about is not close to being true.

Her Venus squares my Jupiter but again, the descriptions I read do not fit us. Venus square rising 5-degree orb also seems to be too wide.

Venus parallel pluto, venus semi-square north node, and venus square sun/moon midpoint I do not know much about.

We also have composite Venus Aqua in the 10th which is opposite our composite Leo sun (4th H) which seems to fit us well. Venus conjunct mercury (10h) and mars (10h) in the composite fits us decently.

With one Cancer and one Capricorn natal Venus, the 150 degree rule* applies to the composite Venus. ... So, how would you expect your composite Venus to actually manifest?

[ * "An exception to the rule of the nearer midpoint occurs when the planets being combined are more than 150 degrees apart in their shorter arc. In this case, the two midpoints are nearly equal in strength, and BOTH should be taken into consideration." ... (From Planets in Composite, by Robert Hand). ]

Although this doesn’t make or break a relationship but Venus-Venus does contribute to compatibility. If your Venuses are not compatible (e.g. the square aspect), it will cause irritation such as your values, tastes etc. My mom’s Venus in Virgo square my Venus in Gemini. We don’t have the same tastes in anything and it can be very frustrating when discussing things with her. We can’t even agree on what to keep or throw.

But with people I’ve compatible Venus with, it’s very easy to agree on things.

Composite Venus is in Libra (in the opposite house) opposite Sun, sextile Jupiter and trine Saturn.
I didn't understand the 150 degree rule. Does it apply?
