In the images posted below, the birth times of HER differ by just 5 minutes. However, because the angles in the two natal charts oppose each other, that difference is enough to move the composite AC and MC in the two images by some 180 degrees. Moreover, because the natal Sun/Venus/Mercury of HER oppose those of HIM, the composite charts have a Sun-Venus-Mercury relationship that can never exist in a natal chart. So ... can anyone advise me upon how to interpret (say) the composite Mercury-Venus qcx created by the natal charts of HER and HIM? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ IP: Logged |

maybe interpret in typical inconjunct way? such as love has no good way of expression of itself?Maybe it is one of the weakness of composite vs davison. IP: Logged |

In the davison, MC is 1 degree past Venus (in Virgo/9th) and Venus is 12 degrees past Mercury (in Virgo/9th). ... So, Venus is the most visible/elevated planet in the chart, and its 30th harmonic aspect to Mercury indicates that the attraction was both physical and intellectual, but with a Virgo "purity" and 9th house idealism. This actually fits/describes the relationship well ... since it was a first-romance for both the 15-years-old HIM (myself) and the 13-years-old HER, which lasted for only 4 months and inflicted no emotional scars on either party.

In Planets In Composite, Robert Hand's advice is to "use both sets of midpoints" ... which, in this case, gives us a "Venus-in-Cancer/1st semisextile Mercury in Leo/2nd" and a "Venus-in-Capricorn/7th semisextile Mercury in Aquarius/8th". And there are comprehensive cook-book interpretations in his (1975) book which enable us to conclude that "the relationship might make both partners more tolerant of the views and values of others". (Which is what actually happened in this particular case.) However, your suggestion also enables us to arrive at that conclusion - because the qcx is a thinking aspect which (here) is "weighing up the pros and cons" of Mercury/views-and-Venus/values, within a relationship between two people who liked each other. ... So, the midpoint composite chart has added something here that tones-down the oppositions in the two natal charts. IP: Logged | |
