I have observed some synastry overtime and noticed that when it comes to friends, aspects such as Sun Conjunct Moon are more favorable. Even though they swear by Sun Conjunct Moon and Venus-Venus favorable aspects, I find that these are more "friends" type of aspects even if in a relationship.

Like this would be a couple with cheesy jokes towards each other but when I have had these aspects with my relationships, I feel like on their own they could do little with the "fire" and passion. If anything, they made the relationship more clean, cheesy, and kind of plain on their own.

Sure, you liked being around the person but in a more brotherly or sisterly way, not in a "I gotta have you now" way.

Then I compare aspects that I seem to find a lot in my relationships where the sex was fire and you could just feel the passion and heat.

Mars - Venus aspects, ESPECIALLY oppositions and squares.

Mars - Pluto aspects.

Pluto - Venus aspects.

Lilith - Mars aspects.

I recently found a chart between two people at my company where two people had all except the Pluto and Venus, the rest that they had were in a double whammy.

The woman was usually a calm and jolly girl but whenever the guy was involved, she got INTENSE. I mean turning mad and having all of the emotions boil up in her, same with the guy. I had never seen her like this in years but she got very intense and passionate, like her body language and demeanor changed when we talked about the guy. Her skin turned pink with rage and she got mad whenever he did something wrong while when other guys did something wrong? She disregarded it.

What was even more strange is that the guy decided not to join her meeting one week, it was their 1 on 1, he was sick. She got boiling mad and came to me as I am his boss.

Then, the guy himself was worried about her and what she was doing with him. At times, he too would feel very intense with his anger in her games which she played with no one else but him.

I thought they were going to kill each other.

Come to find just today? They ended up meeting up in person and going home together.

I would agree, even with my limited knowledge

I was best friends with a boy all through high school and college and we had some very nice aspects (birth time confirmed)-

Sun-Moon conjunction
Sun-Mercury Trine
Venus-Jupiter Trine
Ascendant-Sun Conjunction

We also had a venus mars aspect and a venus moon aspect but I forget which was it-either trine or sextile for both..

So anyway when I had started studying synastry, this was the first synastry I checked and I thought..hmmm, sun-moon, sun-mercury, venus-mars, moon-venus, ascendant-sun...how come we were only friends?? We had an incredible friendship, but almost with a sibling-like undercurrent.

Then I checked the synastries for all my relationships (a grand total of 3 in my life) and realized that all of them had pluto, lilith aspects. Maybe I like pluto aspects sub-consciously and am only attracted to someone with them in our synastry. The last guy I had an incredible relationship with, we had-

Sun-Venus Trine
Venus-Pluto Trine
Pluto-Sun Trine
Pluto-Mars Trine
Mars-Ascendant Trine
Ascendant-Sun Sextile
Sun-Moon Sextile
Moon-Mars Sextile
Venus-North Node Conjunction
Venus-Uranus Conjunction
Venus-Neptune Conjunction
Mars-Jupiter Trine
Lilith-Moon (I forgot trine or conjunction)
We also had Pluto in composite 7th house and Jupiter in 8th house.
And Moon-Mars Conjunction on Composite Ascendant.

Needless to see, this was way more than a simple friendship. Pretty obsessive and unforgettable. I am still trying to get over it...sigh.

But yeah now I understand that for me, simple classic aspects like sun-moon don't give more than a easy flowing friendship-like feeling, I need pluto in heavy quantities for it to be something more. I am doomed

my best friendships have always involved Jupiter and the 7th house! I'm not sure but I have a theory that it's different for each rising sign!

I think it maybe depends on each chart and on what each person is looking for? Maybe some need excitement and very intense experiences, while others are fine with lovey-dovey feelings and lighthearted romantic connections...

I have this friend couple who have been together for years and are seen as a very strong, united and in love couple. The strongest dynamic in their synastry is a double whammy Sun/Moon conjunction. At least one of them has told me before that what they value the most is that their partner is also their best-friend, which is very much highlighted by that Sun/Moon connection. So I guess they got what they were looking for. They both have unaspected Venus in their synastry and no major Mars & Pluto connections either...

Personally, in my current relationship there are many aspects that you mention, from squares to Venus/Mars/Pluto, but also significant axis connections - my Moon/Jupiter right on his AC and my Venus right on his DC, aswell as his Moon/Mercury/Mars/MC right on my DC and his Pluto/IC bang on my AC also.

We have a very strong connection but definetely one that gets too intense at times. Squares can be very exciting but challenging also, of course! I guess it does depend on what each of us is looking for and feels confortable with.
