I can see using progressed synastry, how now could be an uncomfortable time in your relationship - you have progressed Venus-natal Venus quincunx, becoming exact right about now.

It is your progressed Venus in Gemini to his natal Venus in Capricorn. Your progressed Venus is also conjunct your natal Sun.

I am wondering if you have taken more of the lead in your relationship before, or more of the "giving" role, but now you want to receive more from him?

Gemini is ruled by Mercury and Capricorn by Saturn, whereas you may want to talk things through and communicate, he may be more rigid, independent or elusive.

I think the quincunx can be hard to find a balance with, it can bring quite a lot of discomfort.

You do have the natal synastry aspect of Sun quincunx Venus, so this may be a tension you can both usually work with, but I feel that maybe you want to shake up your dynamic, and he may not be on the same page, or know how to change his role in your relationship.
