Composite Saturn in Pisces 3rd house
His (?) Moon opposite composite Saturn
His (?) Venus square composite Saturn

From this, I think your connection could be potentially combustive with lots of chemistry, but also confusing & I feel that he may experience the verbal communication side of things as restrictive, like he doesn’t want to be “pinned down” or overly clear about where he’s headed relationship-wise, or in how he expresses what his intentions are

I’ve heard the quincunx can operate like a see-saw, when you try & get closer, or take action in relationship, it tips the other person down, or something like that ...

I’m thinking from your natal squares, maybe he isn’t always attracted to what makes him feel safe, & maybe there’s an issue with you not always knowing how to communicate your vulnerability, either to connect with others or protect yourself when needs be, & maybe he is unconsciously aware of your vulnerability, but attracted more to “exploring himself” at the moment than the role of looking out for you & learning how to communicate responsibly with you?

With the trines & sextiles in your synastry, maybe you feel safe, comfortable & familiar with each other, in an important way, but not at the stage where as a team you can step up to the plate of communicating clearly about deeper relationship issues, maybe you both sense there is something there but one or both of you would need to be in a different place within yourselves to sustain the depth of connection, does this resonate?
