So I have been reading about progressions and relationship timing again recently. I see the classic starters- Sun/Venus, Venus/Mars, Sun or Venus to ASC/DSC... but what about MC/IC?Wouldn't IC be an important point in progressions as it's the innermost point of the chart? I know Moon is often left out due to not knowing exact times, though you need those for ASC/DSC.... and another theory is that Moon is more emotional and not necessarily romantic. But what are your thoughts and experiences on MC/IC and progressions for timing of relationships? IP: Logged |

My husband and I met when:My Progressed SUN was conjuncting his natal DC ruler PLUTO. His Progressed MOON was conjuncting my DC. My ex and I met when: My progressed MOON was conjunct his SUN
His progressed sun and moon was conjunct my southnode ^^In fact my southnode was at the midpoint of his progressed sun and moon but essentially my Southnode formed a stellium with his progressed sun and moon. ...so we had nodal and moon action aspecting the sun, the sun aspect the moon is also a common one with progressed charts when people meet, is that yin yan thing. As for IC/MCWhen I met my husband my progressed MC was conjunct my natal Saturn exact and progressed IC was conjunct progressed JUNO exact. He is the only person I ever moved in with so JUNO conjunct IC fits. His progressed IC was conjunct my natal venus and mars although not exact (2-3 degrees). Mars rules my IC. Nothing notable with my ex involving the progressed IC or MC but yes a ton in synastry, his IC conjuncts his vertex and my southnode and this squares his DC conjunct my MOON very tight. His progressed MOON was falling on his natal IC/Vertex and my Southnode when we met. IP: Logged |

For some reason progressions and calculations make my head spin. I do think IC/MC may be important in progressions, probably just more challenging to track. And I always forget to check the rulers, so thanks for that reminder! @hypatia
And I think it's interesting how you trace back to Juno and Saturn being significant for you given the seriousness of your relationship. IP: Logged |

If Jupiter is the nASC ruler, it would then carry more wight in the progressed chart than normal?So in theory, if pJupiter (nASC ruler for person A) is conjunct pVenus (nDSC ruler for person B) this would be a big deal and relationship starter. Of three significant relationships, two had very typical progression starters. The third one had next to nothing, so I am thinking his birth time is off. That or my head was spinning and I could not see. But I will go back and check for rulers! Thanks Hypatia! IP: Logged |

Do you find that Valentine plays a role in your progressions?I have noticed it did in mine, and I am thinking it must be important overall bcs in my natal chart Valentine is not tied in to my personal planets. IP: Logged |
