What do you guys think should be the top 5 things I should look for in a composite chart?1. Ascendent ruler placed in a good house (such as 5h, 10h, 11h)? 2. Sun/moon no square or opposition? 3. Venus in a strong house? ?? Thanks for your input! IP: Logged |

I believe everyone will have different take. For me I'd wanna see:1) At least ONE harmonious aspect between Sun-Moon, Sun-Venus or Moon-Venus which shows love & harmony between the couple. It's better for Sun-Moon to have no aspect than to have a Sun square Moon. 2) Jupiter in any aspect to Sun/Moon/Venus (any one). Shows that the couple really enjoy being together. 3) Harmonious aspects to Midheaven - shows union towards relationship goals/future. 4) I'd rather have no Saturn aspect than to see it squaring multiple planets/points. 5) Too many squares from outer planets (except Jupiter) to inner planets. Do you consider progressed composite chart at least 20% importance/significance? What would you consider to be important in a business partnership? Thank you for your input! I have looked at my composite chart with my love, sadly, don't have any harmonious aspects between sun/moon/venus themselves and jupiter (no hard aspects either) Plus we have saturn square sun Anyways we are still working on it... What about ascendent signs? If both are same signs, or water+earth, or air+fire, are they more adaptable to each other? Is it an important consideration? IP: Logged |

For prog Composite, I read we should focus on the prog Moon as it shows the stages of the relationship so that's what I usually do.In a purely biz relationship, I would consider Sun/Mercury/Mars to be important since Sun represents the relationship itself, Mercury rules communication and Mars is your drives/desires. Is your Saturn square Sun close orb? I've not experienced this myself but I read that it can put too much obligations/burdens on the relationship so much so that it takes the joy out of being together (UNLESS you have some Jupiter there). What do you mean by same ASCs? Are you talking about Synastry? IP: Logged |

In our composite chart, sun square saturn (1' orb). Jupiter sextile Saturn (2'orb) and semi=sextile sun (3'orb) We are long distance, I can see he feels burdened but always come back to me for some unspeakable reason. Same ASC means both individual natal chart have the same ascendent, for example, both cancer rising. IP: Logged |

Your Sun square Saturn orb is very close. Definitely significant. The semi-sextile is weak against the square, I'm afraid, especially since the square orb is so tight. Same ASCs means you share similar outlooks & approaches in life. It can create a strong bond if the other planetary aspects support it. IP: Logged |

Hikaru29, how do you usually interpret the New Moon in a progressed Composite? Does it mean that the relationship is significant? Or once the New Moon is over, the relationship would be also over?

The new moon indicates the beginning of a new phase, which may or may not be apparent to the couple when it happens. It is usually in hindsight that you realised the events that started at new moon phase brought you to where you are today. It does not mean your relationship will be over once it’s passed. I also realised Moon phases has no relation to how significant a relationship is. I checked some long-term relationships. They all started at different moon phases. IP: Logged |

Thanks a lot Hikaru! It's just that the progressed New Moon coincided with a beginning of dating whereas we knew each other already for about a year before that, and I had no idea there could be any interest from his side.IP: Logged |

Do you give a priority to a natal or to a progressed composite? and to transits to one or another? Also, is it reliable to judge by a superimposed composite to each partners' natal about how much this relationship will mean to each person? IP: Logged |

In your case it seems progressed new Moon brought you together, the beginning of a new stage of relationship.I’d give priority to natal composite. Progressed composite shows which stage you are at as a couple (with Moon as focus) but it doesn’t replace your natal composite in terms of defining the relationship. Not sure if comparing composite to natal is that reliable since it’s supposed to be a midpoint chart. I don’t check it much. What’s your experience ? IP: Logged |

Thank you Hikaru! really appreciate your opinion. I wonder if it will be over once the New Moon is over.I hold on to the idea of composite to natals overlay since for now it's the only candidate for me (apart from personal prognostics) which can explain inequality in feelings. Synastry doesn't give straightforward responses since it's always vague who feels an aspect more. I've experienced wonderful synastries and composites with unequal feelings. So now I look how much a composite (and a progressed composite) touches angles, nodes, personal planets for each person. IP: Logged |

You can also check your progressed Synastry for what may come. IP: Logged |
