Superficially, looking at the synastry and the composite, I'd say it's more platonic than anything.

I do like that you guys filled up each others 7th house.

I mean he in particular is smack dab on your DSC with his Sun/Mercury/Chiron. He puts his Jupiter and Mars in your 7th. His Venus falls into you 5th. His Moon is opposite the ruler of your DSC. His Venus is conjunct your 8th house ruler (Venus conj Venus). Your Sun is conjunct your IC so you like Cancerian men and he has Venus in Cancer. So it makes sense why you REALLY like him.

I'm assuming the birth time is right for him?

Your Venus is conjunct his ASC so he's gotta find you beautiful - if not physically attractive, he finds you very charming. He must also be a very charming, good looking person too since Venus is also conjunct his natal ASC.

I'm kinda thinking... maybe you guys are just too similar? Venus conj Venus, Mars in the same sign. ASCs in the same element. Mercurial Suns. Two rebellious Moons (Aqua and Sag).

You put your Moon/Neptune/Uranus in his 7th... Moon is a great position in the 7th, Neptune can work in your favor, could be the Uranus that makes him blow hot and cold with you?

His Saturn is in an out-of-sign conjunction with your ASC so maybe he feels like he's responsible for your well being?

Your Pluto is conjunct his North Node so you could have a very STRONG effect on him that makes him a little uncomfortable, especially if he's not willing to be in a transformative relationship?

Your Sun is in his 11th house though, that's considered a classic marker for friendship. Your Venus is in his 12th, so he may not know how to bring a relationship with you into the forefront of his life.

You guys DO have a love stellium in the composite which is wonderful (in Cancer at that), but it is VERY stressed out in that cardinal t-square. I'm not sure a relationship with this person would be very pleasant for long, which maybe unconsciously he recognizes?
