What I got was this: You two may possibly be twin souls, hence the deep affection and at least platonic closeness from the start. However, you both had issues and karmic relationships you needed to work on before you could come together in a more completely merging kind of way.

For you, your Soul and especially Expanded self level, damped down the deeper attraction that was always there, so that you could work on these other issues and karmic connections. For him, he may have been aware of the deeper connection and attraction all along, as part of his own challenge/testing/growth process. It is mighty hard to have intense unrequited love and feelings for someone, still remain their friend, and it can catalyze some real Soul growth.

Also, there was perhaps too much of a vibrational difference between your personality levels initially for it to work out well originally. One of you probably had to up your vibration to better match the others.

The astrology then, is going to just reflect this all symbolically.

Normally, I would tend to be a bit wary of double Venus-Mars squares, but I think in your case, it probably relates more to a timing issue more than anything. It definitely does often correlate with some intense chemistry, but again your Soul and more so your Expanded self level, seems to have specifically damped that down for deeper reasons.

I agree with Stone1 in that Pluto conjunct the Asc in the composite (in the sign of Scorpio no less), indicates that this is a deeply, deeply affecting and transformative connection. You also have a rather loaded 7th House, so clearly deeper union and commitment has been "forecasted" to be quite probable from the get go. Especially so with the faster moving/personal ruler of the ASC, being in the 7th, along with the ruler of DESC being conjunct same (and the former ruler of the chart) and that being Venus, the planet of relationship par excellence. And then the Sun, the very center of our system, being in there. Fixed Signs being on the Angles can indicate an overall stability.

Not sure I'm going to analyze the synastric in a more purely astrological sense or not, but in case I do, any chance you can add a synastry chart that has the tables of exact Planet placements by degrees on it?

IF this is a twin soul connection, it is a sacred union/connection. Please treat it as such. Few people in this life are lucky enough to have such a connection with a mate. But also know, they can be very challenging. The psychic connection can be and/or become, extremely intense.

This is great when both are relatively balanced and being their better, faster vibratory selves, but when one is off kilter, it tends to more easily throw the other one off balance. I speak from 20 years of experience of being in such a relationship. It is both very beautiful and fulfilling, but also rather challenging at times.

It is very much like an opposite aspect. Very intense attraction and connection (like two parts of a whole coming together in union), but also a polarizing push pull that can happen.

Btw, I'm not particularly intune at this time, so please take any and everything I say with a definite grain of salt. (I don't even remember the last time I meditated in a formal and deep way).
