Anyone care to reflect on their experiences with North Node/South Node overlays in partner houses? I can't find much online. Do you think it's significant?

I'm looking at a situation now where my North Node is in his 1st house, his North Node is in my 8th house. An interesting inversion from my first boyfriend (see below). I can sense that he would push me in terms of intimacy matters. My guess is that in past lives, I felt restricted by the relationship while his self-worth or ability to earn an income were restricted by me.

Thinking about my former husband, my North Node was also in his 1st house and his North Node was in my 9th. I would definitely say that for me, the relationship kept me from pursuing my North Node and this was (for me) the primary cause of the end of the relationship. However, I supported (and continue to support) him as an individual. I can't say I felt his nodal axis in my 3/9 axis, but the big philsophies and meaning of life were and are definitely part of what I taught or at least tried to teach him.

My longest relationship before that was in high school, 3-4 years. My North Node in his 8th, his North Node in my 7th. I can definitely see that. I basically pressured him into losing his virginity with me, while obviously it was my first long-term relationship and a huge lesson in handling my jealousy and rage and competitiveness.

I'm not really sure how to parse out the node person from the house person in terms of the effects.

I met someone who I have a double-aspect with NN. My NN conjunct her Sun in Aries, and her NN conjunct my Moon in Libra. My Moon also opposes her Sun, SN, and Mars in Aries also. We couldn't keep our hands off each other even despite each of us are seeing other people. It doesn't help either that both our Moon's are in each other's 8th House. I pushed to get laid, but I scared her off, oh well, maybe in the next life, who knows.

I’ve read that NN contacts can sometimes mean that the NN person isn’t quite ready for what the planet person brings. NN is our purpose in life, and it’s an uncomfortable path, one we aren’t used to. SN is what have known in a past life and thus naturally fall back on. So a lot of times when planets are conjunct someone’s NN, they run away from it, either at first, or forever. Depends on the maturity of the NN person and if they’re ready to walk the path of their purpose.

It would also depend on other factors in the synastry chart.

Thank you both... I know what the NN/SN means and how planetary aspects impact it. I'm asking specifically about nodal house overlays, if anyone sees a connection between that and their experience.
