Topic: Cancer & Cancer, anyone offer any insight into this composite/synastry with this guy?

So the last guy I dated before lockdown happened is younger than me and quieter and conversation was kind of difficult (not sure if its because he´s shy or awkward or because i’m quiet myself and normally need someone to help bring me out of my shell), however he was really sweet, I was extremely attracted to him and we had passion… Fast forward a few months he basically ghosted me and then we went into lockdown and I never heard from him nor did I reach out. He randomly reached out back in march this year (so just over a year from when we dated) and I was in a bit of bad place and didn´t reply and also didn´t think he deserved a reply after ghosting me… but now I’m wondering why he reached out again, perhaps he felt guilty, maybe he had a good reason, maybe he wants a second chance… and as I have nothing else going on I think maybe i should reach out. Or maybe this is something I need to forget about because it didn´t work the first time round? I will post our synastry and composite, if anyone can offer any insight it would be greatly appreciated, when I check on astro.com it seems we are really compatible on paper (I don´t know his birthtime, We are both cancer sun, I´m gemini asc & moon, cancer venus, he´s Cap moon, taurus venus)

Hey Summer, yeah, two Cancers are going to take awhile to open up and trust each other! It's hard to tell without his birth time but his ego-identity (sun) and emotional needs (moon) are totally different. Capricorn moons (which that may not be his correct moon sign - try experimenting with his chart by moving the birth time to as late as 11:59pm and as early as 12:01 am and you will be able to see if it might actually fall in Sagittarius) are especially slow to trust in my experience. You have a DW Sun-Mercury conjunction, which promises great mental rapport. But with all of them in Cancer, both trust and communication are going to take a whiiiiiiiile to develop, so just be patient. If his moon really is around 4-6' Capricorn then you have a Neptune-Moon conjunction as well, which can go either way - there's a lot of inspiration, faith, and sensitivity but also potentially deception and the tendency to idealize the partner. With his Jupiter squaring both your Mercury and Neptune, he might have put you too much on a pedestal at first and then found that you were different from how he assumed (not bad, just different). With a slow sun/moon combo it may have taken him this long to come around to that. Actually you have a DW Jupiter square Neptune, so this aspect goes both ways... the way you each communicate and think may tamp down the other's enthusiasm sometimes. I would definitely do further research on Sun conjunct Mercury synastry and Jupiter square Mercury synastry because these Mercury themes are very much highlighted. I'm not sure how accurate the composite chart can be without at least an approximate time of birth. Can you guess his ascendant at least? You do have your Saturn near his North Node which indicates some potential for growth, but only if he is ready. He may not be at that stage yet. Overall the synastry indicates the need for a lot of patience, but there's good potential for deep mutual understanding. I do wish he had more air in his chart to work with your Gemini moon, which is hidden in your 12th house.Astrology aside, if you want to respond then do! There's no reason to deny your own desires. But I would caution not to take this too seriously before it has gotten serious (again) yet. It's good to be open to people and patiently explore, but don't put pressure on yourself. After the 1.5 years we've all had it's good to take these things slowly! Since he ghosted you it's important to ask yourself whether that behavior is acceptable to you and what your boundaries are... something I am still learning to do myself!  IP: Logged |

Hey sasha, thank you for your reply  Yes, since he ghosted me I am super cautious, hence why I never replied to him at first.
I think his birth time is close to what I entered which was 12 noon, I vaguely remember having this convo with him as he was interested in birth charts when I spoke to him about them, which would potentially make his ascendent virgo, I remember thinking he had a lot of earth in his chart which I completely lack. I think there is a possibility of bumping into him over the next few months, so I guess I could see how that goes, if I show I am open to communication, because I guess if I reach out now it would seem really random. But it makes complete sense that he could have put me up on a pedestal at first, which is what I felt, and then he pulled away. What really threw me off was the fact he always seemed nervous, or extremely quiet, which is not what I am used to at all when dating guys ... usually I date more chatty guys who bring me out of my shell, maybe I made him nervous because I am older than he is... I think because I am lonely now I am thinking this is a missed opportunity IP: Logged |

It can work...I'm the offspring of two Cancers. They have a strange way of complementing each other...and
being clingy to each other. For example when ever i'd start to fix something my Cancer mom whould make me stop and say just wait for your dad. Then when my Dad has to make financial decesions i'd advise him...only to be told that he'll call mom. My Planets
