Topic: Venus/Mars conjunct the ASC/DSC

I'm curious about the rate of effectiveness of having someone's Venus or Mars on your ASC or DSC or vice versa.I tried to do a test on myself by searching up celebrities who have their ASC/DSC within a few degrees of my Venus/Mars just to see if I considered them attractive according to my tastes and I think only a few I found attractive while the majority I didn't find attractive at all. Or maybe it's only effective when we're in actual physical proximity of the other person in order to become attracted to their energy and the way they carry themselves? What do you think? Have you ever experienced this with someone where you had one or both of these aspects in synastry and yet not felt any attraction to them at all? It's not a guaranteed indicator of attraction, right? IP: Logged |

I have only experienced being the ascendant,not the other way around. But nothing in synastry is a guarantee for attraction.External appearances and circumstances can alter the results.
With the venus/Asc you can be sure there will be harmony and sympathy between you, but not necessarily attraction.As the ascendant,I have felt it sometimes,while others I don't even notice the person.I know one guy with his venus on my ascendant and he is the ideal man in my eyes.I have no idea how he sees me.
With mars/Asc you do notice them.Their energy is straight to your face, and this can be bothering sometimes.Unless you like them off course.The mars person is either really attracted to you and they feel an urge to touch you or get close physically or they seem aggressive towards you.A man I work with has this and I can get on his nerves without even trying.Although he has expressed his attraction to me and he likes to tickle me. Thank you for sharing your experience with it, Cancermoon.That is true about the Mars/ASC contact being noticeable. I have a friend whose Scorpio Mars conjunct my ASC and we have gotten into a few heated arguments. Although it's hard to know if it's because of the Mars-ASC conjunction or if it's her borderline personality disorder traits acting up. Maybe it's a little of both. 🤔 What about the Mars-Descendant conjunction or Venus-Descendant conjunction, Cancermoon? Have you ever experienced those and did it create attraction every time or was it only a few times where there was mutual attraction? IP: Logged |

I don't know,I don't seem connected to my Dsc very much and usually people who put their planets there are people I can't relate to very much.I feel a distance between us.IP: Logged |

Oh OK. Thank you for your input anyway.I think I've only experienced someone's Sun conjuncting my DSC (that I know of) so I don't have much personal experience regarding how the Venus or Mars conjunct DSC experience plays out in most synastries. IP: Logged |

I had:mars-asc double whammy
mars-pluto double whammy
mars-saturn double whammy
mars-mars square
mars-saturn double whammy
His Venus loosely conjunct my ASC by aspect.
My Sun, mars, and pluto conjunct his ASC
We also had Sun-Venus double whammy in synastry with someone I was insanely attracted to. We dated for 3 years and lived together for half of that.
The sex started off rocky because our styles were different, but it's like they eventually merged and the sex became out of this world (we had mars-uranus in composite).
It's true about the energy being in your face too. We could not be indifferent towards each other in close proximity. Distance works best with our particular combination.. lol. That's actually how we met. The draw was so strong. I came across his picture on the explore page on instagram, liked it, he sent me a message, and we were literally attached ever since. It took us a long time to eventually call it quits because the sex was so intoxicating. I loved smelling his hair during the act. He had some kinky things he did on my behalf too but I won't go into detail about those..... ha. SMELLS. It's all about that raw primal dance. Tarzan and Jane. sighs. Another scenario... I had a crush on a guy back in high school who's mars squared my Scorpio stellium but trined my mars. Although I was very drawn to him, his overall appearance wasn't really my type and the timing was always off between us. IP: Logged |

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences. I guess I'm seeing a pattern here that personal planets on the angles has a better likelihood of mutual attraction (not one-sidedness) if it's double whammies going both ways.IP: Logged |

My Mars is on his Asc. Attraction more from his side. He always said that he's never been attracted this much to anyone before. I owe that to this aspect between our charts.IP: Logged |
