Is that usually how it works? I saw a video Jewel made about an aspect in Composite. And she says one person plays the Pluto in the Composite chart. So is it usually the same person who is Pluto in the synastry chart?

I don’t think one or the other ‘’is’’ a planet in the composite. If it’s a heavy Plutonian relationship esp hard Pluto aspects the relationship will concern itself with Pluto issues and Pluto themes. But if for example the male planets like the Sun or Mars are more aspected the male in the relationship will be more impacted in the relationship and if it is the female planets Moon and Venus the female will be more affected.

And little to no personal planets contacts in composite is bad news even in Synastry. The relationship feels very impersonal and it seems like it’s next to impossible to connect on a more personal level.

What do you mean by 'one person is Pluto'? Everyone has Pluto in their chart. The composite is the midpoint between the both Pluto placements, as far as I know.
