I’ve been wondering about this one for a while now..
I experienced 4 encounters in my life so far, where the Composite and Synastry charts appeared to be exceptionally stellar, meaning all the “true love” markers packed together .. aspects between sun/moon , sun/venus , venus/mars, Planet/Axis and Node conjunctions in Synastry and promising House placements and also significant Juno involvement and also positive aspects between Saturn and personal planets. Also nothing crazy from Uranus. With all those 4 encounters, if you just saw the Synastry and Composite charts, you’d instantly think “this is meant to last, this is marriage material” well guess what.. all those 4 encounters didn’t last past the dating stage, despite real life physical attraction.
When I checked the Progressed Composite charts of those encounters (at the approximate time we met and parted ways) there was one marker all of them had in common: progComp Venus square Saturn and in two of them also progComp Sun square Saturn.
I did play with the time code a bit and saw, that the Venus/Saturn square was of very long duration… we’re talking 20+ years!!
Actual relationships that I’ve been in who lasted up to 4 years (my longest so far) had rather average Comp / Synastry charts, but had no hard Saturn aspects in the progressed composite for the entire duration of the relationship, but had progSun/progVenus conjunctions. Not all of them, but some. Overall the progressed Composite chart looked better than the actual composite chart!
My observation is limited to my own experience, of course. Maybe it’s all just coincidence? Although I feel like they have more significance than they’re given by astrologers. I often see it in my progNatal chart for example, where I can relate to certain aspects much more than to my real natal chart.
What is your take on progressed charts?
