I am wondering what the significance is, in the context of a romantic relationship, for someone's Saturn and Vesta to be conjunct another person's Ascendant in Synastry?

Person A's Saturn and Vesta are tightly conjunct in Gemini in their 5th house, and they [Saturn and Vesta] are sitting right on top of Person B's Ascendant. So Person B's Asc. falls right in the middle of Person A's 5th house.

I was thinking it could have something to do with karma, in the sense that it seems like Person A is (or will be at some point) extremely dedicated to Person B's existence in this lifetime?

When people talk about the Ascendant usually it's framed in terms of first appearances, the persona people have that isn't the "real" them, etc. But in this case I wonder if it should be interpreted more as the point in the chart that represents the birth of the person, but also the death of the person, and therefore it is the best point in the chart to represent the whole person?
