I thought the moon, venus 8th house synastry is what cause this hard to move on feeling?

or is it the asc/asc aspect, vertex contacts or pluto?

From my own experience, my ex boyfriend has his moon in my 8th house. It was a karmic relationship that I couldn't let go. I felt like I'd die without having him in my life. I tried to break it off and it took me 4 years but once it's over I never look back. IMO, as a house person, we are the obsessed ones when in a relationship but when its over the planet person becomes the one who can't let go. Its been 5 years already since I broke up with my ex but he still texts me every year telling me he misses me every single day and he doesn't want me to date anyone esle and I'm like ......meh

With my current person, he has his Venus, Mars and Mercury in my 8th house and again I'm obsessed with him lol

My Moon is in someone’s 8th house. And it use to feel really intense. Now when I see the house person there are times when I try to ignore him. But he always speaks to me so I try not to be rude.

Both of you have planets in each other 8th house, I guess thats pretty intense. How you feel in a relationship as a planet person or as a house person?

You know I felt the same way, like I would die without her as she was also my bestfriend. Brake up was brutal, I was obsessed during the relationship but was not after it ended. She was more possessive and territorial of me even after we broke up but she never wanted to show it. Also, I felt this is a real relationship where we both could have the freedom, growth, trust in each other, ability to be successful together while having fun. When we have arguments it just made us feel like we are way too close to each other. I agree with your point, I do feel I can't let go but I never put it in action where is my ex who cant let go keeps trying to reach me while I'm having my walls up. Annoying part is they won't leave my mind, based on what you said I guess it will take few more years for me to be over it.

There was this deep understanding, trust and ability to share emotions with each other. I was scared at first cuz I felt I shouldn't go for my ex as she could end up hurting me but at the end I didn't care to be hurt and wanted the planet person badly in my life. Venus in 8th possibly played a role, as the venus person: I always kept giving gifts, sharing resources and being more confident when together and having this intense sexual desire.

Now I’m casually talking to another guy and my Mars is in his 8th house. He has Venus in the 8th house in his natal chart like me. And in the Composite chart we have Venus and Mars in the 8th house. It doesn’t feel as intense as having my Moon in someone’s 8th house. It feels sexual and I like it.

As the moon person, I wonder if you feel intrigued at first when meeting the house person. Most of them time, as the house person I felt like moon person was invading me and they could see through me. But after initial stage, it felt very comfortable. I have heard mars in 8th is sexual but I have not experienced it first hand, so good to know its not intense as moon.

Hmm...interesting! With my current crush who has his Venus Mars Mercury in my 8th house, I am the one who keeps giving gifts to him like I'd literally do everything for him. I want to talk to him all the time, be close to him like I want to merge with him lol but I wonder if he feels the same. This guy doesn't show much at all and none of his planets fall into my 8th house. I'm afraid that I am the only one who intensely feels it, but hope not.

I had a coworker, who had her sun and moon in my 8th house, she would be very touchy towards me, bit sexual, share deep emotional stuff and have this deep understanding, she could see right through me but it didn't felt the feeling of love & ride or die situation like with my ex. Both of these moon situations, I felt like I only want them doing that special thing for me only, like I don't like to see them doing(whatever that act or service) to anyone else.
