I've been working with a collaborator for about two years now (we're both women), I think I'm the more idealistic and perfectionist of the duo (hence my bouts of pessimism and control issues) and she's more practical and i would say, self-serving.

I'm generally happy with our working relationship but every once in a while there's serious underlying tension and trust issues I think. the output is great, but i routinely get the feeling i'm being used on her part for some personal professional gain and cannot feel comfortable and trusting. do you spot this in the composite? any words of advice?

I think I do. I see Venus Conjunct Mercury, opposite Moon, both square the nodes. Plus Pluto exactly conjuncting the south node. If the birth times are right, Sun and Neptune on the MC.

Does your work involve art in some way? Regardless, I believe I read Venus can represent wealth, partnership, right there conjunct Mercury in the 10H I think represents a working relationship. That, and the Sun conjunct the MC. With the Sun conjunct Neptune, I think that can lead to that element of distrust you speak of. You aren't quite sure the "definition" of the relationship.

With Venus and Mercury opposite the Moon, the heart of your dynamic is at odds with the professional side. A great attraction and you work well together, but it isn't quite seemless. With this opposition square the nodes, working out this challenge is a large theme of your relationship. With Pluto conjunct the south node, control and power struggles is an undercurrent of sorts running through your interaction. If you believe in past lives, I'd venture to say you two had a similar dynamic where one took advantage or betrayed the other. Now you have karma to work out.

The situation is exactly how you describe it, it's not exactly a collaboration based on trust but rather some productive energy that just results in good outcomes. Currently trying to find ways to manuever the struggle of continuing the work without playing into the competitive attitude.

You actually have a very dynamic composite chart. That grand cross with the nodes immediately stood out to me. I believe grand crosses or grand squares is a big karmic indicator.
