This seems that it's not a light relationship, but the thing is that you are more commitet in relationships than him.

You have the ruler of the 7th in the 9th conjunct Saturn, and he has the ruler of the 7th in 5th which means he can have many options and go into different directions and spoil the relationship. His Venus is in Gemini and again it's the same effect. He is still a Cancer and Taurus Moon which will make him more stable, including his Taurus ASC, but Venus in Gemini rules it.

There are some very good connections between you two. Sun conjunct Moon, Moon opposite Sun sign based, his Mars is conjunct your ASC, Moon conjunct Venus, Sun conjunct ASC. But because you two view relationships differently, this might not turn serious.

Have you tried getting back with him? Did you explain that it was a lie? If you did and he didn't believe it, it's there a chance that he might still think that or he might have said that just to have a reason to break up with you?

Plus, right now he is going through his Saturn return. Maybe in february/march, when will go into Pisces he could be in a different state of mind. And I think in October was when Saturn turned direct. For you, Saturn will be in Pisces where you have your DC.

yes, he knew and felt that I brought a responsibility into his life. even this was evident when he started to take responsibility for his life. He was content with this seriousness.

but as you said, trying for me was heavy and difficult for him, I think.
