I wish there was a platonic section because it's so difficult to find synastry interpretations in a Platonic sense. Which is weird considering the vast majority of our relationships are platonic. My boss has his sun in my 8th There is ZERO attraction on my part. I don't like him as a human being, but that's not saying much since no one really does. Even his own father finds his son to be problematic. All the interpretations I read about this have to do with attraction or sex. There is none of that here. IP: Logged |

For attraction to be present, it's not enough only to be an aspect or placement. There has to be multiple ones. In this case, being your boss, it could be a deeper bond between you two instead of jumping into bed or what else.. OR there could be power struggle between you two and in the end is the same energy at play that is not released somehow and it turns bad. That depends on the rest of the synastry. If there is some harsh Saturn involved from his part to your personal planets, and with his Sun in the 8th house, he could hurt you very bad, for example. Or if there is no deeper understanding on Sun/Moon/angles level, this could be someone that might sneak around since the 8th house is hidden and you are not really aware of it. If there is a deeper understanding, then you just get each other, but at the core, there are some powerplays that in romantic relationships are released through fighting and making up. IP: Logged |

Agree with mee_chryssa.I have natal Sun in 8th, and I love when other people put their Sun in my 8th. It's an instant connection and I have a solidarity with them, even if we aren't really all that alike. I do tend to find love interests with personal planets in my 8th, but a lot of my friends also do. It's not sexual on its own, but it can be. If you don't have anything in your own 8th house, or if Pluto or Scorpio aren't active, it may not mean the same to you. It may also feel awkward or invasive. I would look at the overall planetary aspects- both in natal and in synastry. IP: Logged |
