this one is a doozy, so stick with me.

about just 2 weeks ago i met this guy online. i’m not a super lovey dovey or available person as a matured gemini venus, i tend to avoid commitment and i know my own bad habits.

right off the bat, after our first meeting, he was seeking me out everyday for multiple days, beginning me to call him and spend time with him. i was not with it, until i gave in. ever since, we’ve spent time together. he has been so clingy and absolutely openly into me, saying the boldest things in pure sagittarius venus fashion. ive been slowing him down hard, trying to get him to back off because my gemini venus felt suffocated, although surprisingly it didn’t fully turn me off as it usually would because i took a liking to him.

he is now insisting he likes me A LOT and he wants to date me, calling me telling me he misses me every hour of the day, video calling me constantly telling me how pretty i am (which is odd because we don’t have any traditional physical attraction aspects)

i don’t know what to think because it’s so much in such little time and i told him i won’t date him for atleast another 3-4 months because i need to get to know him first.

now i’m just confused. what makes him so obsessed with me synastry wise? i met this guy earlier this year that had his venus, mars and sun conjunct my ascendant as well as 8th house aspects and overlays and my planets in his 7th which is supposed to be some magic recipe for physical attraction, yet he told me he doesn’t think i’m pretty and he didn’t even like me although we were supposedly friends- meanwhile this guy and i have virtually no good or special aspects with him, yet he is hella attracted to me and adores my personality.

so is it all just an illusion? will it fade in due time? because there doesn’t seem to be any indication for longevity or true feelings in our synastry. please let me know because i don’t know wether to get invested or not.

He also has his Jupiter in your 5th house, looks like fun. And he has a Scorpio Mars that likes intensity, so your Moon opposite his Mars and your Mars opposite his Pluto, is probably something he finds very “hot”.

I don’t know about long term compatibility but Moons conjunct and Sun conjunct Descendant are very nice aspects, and so is Mars and Venus in opposite signs (a natural give and take). If he is genuinely interested and you would like to get to know him better, just go for it. Unless there are glaring red flags in his personality, at the very least you will have a fun time out (Jupiter in the 5th looks like a great opportunity for fun).

Edit: love bombing is a red flag by the way, so make sure that you feel comfortable around him. If he crosses certain boundaries, make sure that you keep yourself safe. You don’t need a good excuse to say no.

this makes so much sense, thank you! i didn’t even think about the fact that he’s so earth heavy and may actually want something serious, his quick interest in me actually made me think it’s a flighty saggitarius venus thing, but it makes sense that he would want stability as an earth sign.

i feel comfortable with the love bombing (for the most part) i think he’s just genuinely a really clingy person when he has a crush and doesn’t fully realise how clingy he is being.

i do kinda hope there’s actual potential, i’m starting to like him after he has been insisting for the longest time and i don’t want to regret giving in.

Your Moons conjunct and Suns in trine signs show that a really great connection can be established. I personally ALWAYS have great conversations with people I’ve Moon conjunctions with because we just click so well. But your composite doesn’t look that good though with Sun-Uranus opposite Mars-Venus and I don’t see stellium or patterns. Also you would wanna be careful of Moon square Neptune which is in both your composite and Synastry. And you have it in natal too?
