Judging from experience with moon-uranus hard aspects, it just means distance and aloofness.. so maybe you guys get along, but you're from a different cultural, financial background.. or maybe you travel a lot or live in a different state/ country which could cause a whole list of problems activating that "square". Maybe the mom doesn't like you not bringing the grand kids to see her as often as she would like.. squares generate action so it could simply mean you guys have to travel long distances to see mother/ home. The possible scenarios are limitless depending on your natal chart, their natal, your own personal situations, etc. but this is just an example. Hope it helps. <3

I don't have any information on moon-saturn square but just off the too if my head, it could mean coldness and "heaviness" regarding their mother. That heaviness could be financial burdens.. maybe their mom asks to borrow money which affects the relationships's finances..
