I've always wondered what the indicators in synastry or even in a composite would be for a couple or a partner that wanted to wait to have sex, since it's not that common for people to wait now at days. They'd wait until they were married or if not that, then they just waited a long time to actually be physically intimate with each other, 6 months to a year.

I wouldn't be surprised if this overlay would be an indicator of such things, since Saturn represents delays, in someone's 8th house of intimacy = delayed intimacy. I feel like it'd be the Saturn person saying to the 8th house person that they want to wait.

What do you think?

i have a 8th House Composite Saturn—we f*ck like rabbits
& went home with each other on our first date. only hours knowing each other, and stayed in bed for a couple days, aside from eating and fresh air.

imo 8th house doesnt rule Sex, rather shared (indebted) material resources. the 2nd House (resources, family) of the 7th House. but if it does have to do with sex, then perhaps Saturn there represents duration, rather than delay.

The 5th House rules sex (creation). in my composite case, the North Node is in 5th House Sagittarius.

Ah, I've seen some people not consider 8th house to rule things like sex or intimacy. I kind of get it, I think 5th house does rule sex and romance, but I've always thought of it as lighthearted casual sex, whilst the 8th house would represent things like deeper intimacy between two people. I mean, why would people make a big deal out of 8th house synastry/composite placements if all it was, was just joint resources, right?

When you said you have NN in 5th house in your composite; I interpret the NN in two ways, it can be a destiny point, or it can just be a point of increase or like a place where we put a lot of focus at, or where we're really hungry for (Kind of like how Vedic astrology interprets it).

In your case, yours is in the 5th house which I agree does rule sex, so it makes sense why you guys have a lot of sex hahaha

i have an 8th house moon natally, and can tell ya, that people freak out over 8th house synastry because 2nd house is about the sustenance of surviving (food, money, family, our body, home, etc.) and, 8th house is about other people’s “stuff” — and depending on one’s health and strength, overlays into this house can trigger our fears and codependency. to “need” something from another.

and typically, once people have sex, they subconsciously expect more than just that from each other; like a transaction, conditions or indebtedness. “since we have sex, you owe me this and that (commitment/marriage, fidelity, money, etc)”

Though Jupiter is duplicitous, I do see his 9th h. as a guru signifier. That might be where someone might be celibate if Saturn were there. I do see your thought as very possible though! Maybe you'll need to see how Capricorn, mars, Aquarius and pluto are in this scheme of things. Mars/pluto for the passion, tension and the signs are Saturn's natural homes. Maybe the 8th here is more emphasized based on these other moving components? Time in 8th could mean courting took/takes time/marriage, not sex. Just my thoughts. I do see 5th as love making.

It just means it will take longer than 'average' to become truly intimate. The longer the process, the deeper and richer the possibilities.

Saturn is like the growth of a tree, rings expanding each year and solidifying the relationship in question. 8th house is our shared intimacy, (yes this CAN involve sex, but sex is a basic human experience that CAN be elevated into 8th house style intimacy, but it's not it's default) so the connection can be a slow build.

That does NOT mean that it's piddly or pathetic to start off- sometimes it can be very shy and distant, but Saturn is incredibly loving and WANTS to love. They just need respect and TIME to fully explore their desires and connections.
